Anniversary

The Cake sat quite innocently in the middle of the city. From the bat and clown decorations, it wasn't hard to guess who had set the giant several story cake there. One could assume it was a bomb. Or something equally as dangerous, but Batman had a good feeling that it was something a little more...Joker-y, for all the sense that made.

Batman prowled around the perimeter of the giant treat, searching for a clock or dynamite, or something. And, not to his surprise, he did find a clock, counting down. But there was no time to dismantle it, there was just seconds to go. Before he could even turn away, the top half of the cake blew off, showering him in icing and pastry.

"Surprise!" Joker cried out from where he sat on the cake. Batman frowned at the ever present grin of the joker, silently demanding an explanation. "It's our anniversary Sweetums! Just a few years ago, we met for the first time. You beat the bloody snot out of me for the first time. Locked me up in Arkham for the first time, and I escaped, for the first time." Joker wiped a non existent tear from his eye. "Time does fly doesn't it."

In another moment, Batman was on top of the cake as well, shoving Joker's face into the icing while he handcuffed him. "You always did like it rough, didn't ya, Batsy."

"Bloody lunatic." Batman growled. Joker gave him a grin, willingly following him to Arkham Asylum once more.

"I love you too, Batsy."
