Alice: This was requested on my Tumblr by KakashiGurl.
Emily: So enjoy! It's inspired the Apprentice episodes. It's a really quick one-shot.
Alice: Then after that, I will write two more one-shots.
Emily: Then tonight I will update some stories.
Alice: Enjoy!
Title: My Apprentice
Summary: Slade reflects on his little bird.
Pairings: Sladin. Slight Robstar and slight Robrae.
My Apprentice
Slade smirked, watching the titans from inside their own tower. He had managed to hack into their security and watch them closely. None of them caught his interest. Well, that was a lie. Richard John Grayson, or Dick, interested him. His friends knew him simply as Robin, but Slade knew that was just a mask. A mask to hide such beautiful baby blue eyes. Slade smirked. He was thrilled at the fact that he knew Robin's real name. He knew his origins. He also knew what he lost and what he wanted.
More importantly though, his friends did not.
Slade took such a pleasure in making Robin's life harder than needed. He loved seeing the obstacles Robin thought his way through, the violence Robin subjected himself to, but most importantly that Robin was never and could never be pleased unless Slade was behind bars. The boy was obsessed with him.
But Slade was even more obsessed with Robin. That was not a problem. Their "relationship" was not something Slade wanted to label. His friends labelled it as hatred. Slade knew better and was informed Robin felt the same way. Yes, obsession and hatred were very fitting to describe it, but it would not do as a label. Their relationship was about control, sexual, and above all it was absolutely thrilling. No man has ever been able to stand up to Slade's level. No man has ever seen Slade under his mask in so long. Yet Robin has.
And all to release their sexual tension. Robin said no at first. But the moment Slade left and stood up, about to walk away, Robin was begging for more. He needed Slade just as much as Slade needed him. Their friends didn't understand that. Well, once again, almost all of them.
Raven understood everything perfectly. Being inside his mind while Slade was haunting him, Raven learned the true depth of their relationship: that it was endless. That no matter how much their utterly hated one another, they always came back for more. Slade would attack him though instead of with weapons and punches, it would be with bites and thrusts. And Raven understood. Sure, she never talked to him about it, but Slade knew she did.
Because she was jealous.
Raven loved Robin just as much, maybe even more, than Starfire did. Ah, Starfire. The alien girl had a big heart, Slade noted when he first battled her. Yet not big enough. See Starfire and Raven may love Robin, but Slade hated him more than their love ever could. His hate would turn into such passion that it even surprised himself sometimes.
That's why they were so alike. Because deep down inside, Robin knew he was the same. They hated each other so passionately that it would hurt Robin to walk the next day. Sometimes their passion led them to fighting. Others it led to sex. And even sometimes it led them to just frustration.
And Slade knew for a fact that neither he or Robin would change it for the world.
Alice: So yeah...
Emily: Not really an apprentice thing or a even really a story...
Alice: I just started writing and this came out. I hope you like it!
Emily: Please tell us what you think.
