A/N- I know this may kind of remind you of my other stories Truer Lies, but I promise that it's not. Just a little similar. Tell me what you think, please.
Chapter 1
Present
"If we get out of this alive. . . ." She started, looking into his eyes.
"When, Ziva. When we get out of this alive." He corrected, grinning for a moment, then his smirk fell. She nodded.
"Yes, Tony, when we get out of this alive, I am going to hunt down that lying bastard and see that what stay around goes around." She said, her eyes flicking back and forth from him to the solid door. The only thing that blocked their immediate escape. That and the chairs that they were zip-tied to. At her words he smirked again.
"Comes. What goes around comes around." He corrected, his voice smiling at her.
"Whatever." She huffed.
For a moment, they both looked around the small room at a loss for words. There was nothing more to be said. The dry air sucked every thought except those of survival from their minds.
Suddenly the silence was broken by the screech of the door's hinges. They scrambled to erase all expressions from their faces as He entered the room, after all reading faces, tasting feelings and emotions was who he was.
"Tony, Ziva. How nice to see you again. Am I interrupting your moment?" He asked sarcastically, his voice dripping with venom. The two remained silent.
"Okay, then. I guess it's never to early to get to business then." He cracked his knuckles and still the quiet remained un-broken.
"Tell me everything you know about Michael McKinnon." He demanded, all emotion leaving his voice cold. The two flinched.
"I don't think so Adam." They said in union. Even with all his power love overcame all. And they truly were in love, though neither would admit it, not even to themselves. He laughed ironically.
"You think you can beat me? You think your powers match mine? You ain't see nothing yet." He laughed, even his laugh was cold. Smiling He pulled a long, thin blade out of a sheath at his side. A smile still on his face He held it to her throat.
All thee looked up at the door opened again.
"Lower your weapon, Adam." Their savior had arrived.
