So its been awhile since I have done anything to this story. I was rereading it and there were some things I am not happy with, so as if 6/9/17, this story is under reconstruction. Some things will be changed. Hopefully this time around I actually get around to finishing it. Thank you for reading. Enjoy!

Prologue

It has been a century. A century. A century since the unsinkable ship, RMS Titanic sank on its maiden voyage. No one was prepared for that day, or for the days of hardship that would follow, not knowing if your family had made it out alive, or if they had been frozen by the unforgiving water.

I was a young girl who was being taken across the sea by my parents, Charles and Renee Swan. They had had hope for their new future, and accompanying them in this hope had been Edward Masen Sr., his wife Elizabeth and their son Edward Jr. My father and Mr. Masen did everything together, even since they were little boys.

I lost my mother and father that fateful night. Edward had been luckier. Mr. And Mrs. Masen survived the sinking, and were able to make their hope a reality. They had been kind enough to take me in when I had no one. They became my new family. Of course, happiness didn't last as long as I hoped it would have. The Spanish Influenza hit Chicago, taking countless lives, including the Masens. I was left to wander the city alone.

The next door neighbors had been kind to me before, and they weren't going to stop now. They took me in when the Masen's passed away. It seemed that all I could do was rely on the kindness of strangers in order to survive. I wanted to pay them for showing me kindness, but I was a lady, and a lady's job was to attend to her husband's duties. A lady never works.

The next door neighbors consisted of three females. Mrs. Maguire and her nieces, Sophie and Emma. Both had grown up in that home, and when we had just moved in, they became my friends. How I wish I hadn't talked to them, then they wouldn't have been cursed to this never ending eternal life.

We don't know who turned us. All we remember was the excruciating pain. We were alone when we woke up. The first thing I had noticed was the burning I felt in my throat, it was overbearing. I had come incredibly close to taking a life, had Garrett and his friends not stopped us. Garrett had been amused with us, although I never found anything about that situation to be funny.

One of his friends, Henry, had left for some brief moment and brought us the liquid that would now sustain us, blood. While we had been feeding, he explained to us the the rule that should always be followed. They really did a terrible job at explaining things to us. They had left as soon as they had explained the rule, which wasn't the most wisest decision given the fact that we were newborns with a thirst for blood.

I don't know what happened, but while we were drinking Sophie took off. It didn't take long for us to follow her, the scent smelled delicious. I don't know how much time passed, I was so enthralled by the smell. We somehow wound up in Alaska and it wasn't long after that when the Denalis found us. They had to deal with three newly turned vampires. The first year was hard, the thirst kept winning, and while the Denalis tried to prevent us from drinking human blood, we often slipped and went after them.

Animal blood didn't taste the same as human blood. It was heavy on the tongue and tasted disgusting, but it was a better alternative. We slowly began to gain some control over ourselves, and Tanya and her clan helped us practice the vegetarian lifestyle. Eleazar helped us with our abilities. My shield had been practically non-existent when we had been turned. But thanks to him, I eventually managed to project it, and he had me practice all the time. They were very kind to us, and we remained with them for a while until it was time to go. Thanks to them we became comfortable with our new way of living.

After a while, we left Alaska and made our way south. The Denali's were sad to see us go, but we promised we would visit soon. That had been a few years ago. We are currently residing in Forks, Washington. Emma had gotten a job at the local high school, while Sophie and I had been hired by the local market. When we had first arrived, the locals had questioned us. We looked very young and they had been confused to see us working but not getting a school. Our excuse was online school. Emma had to pose as our older sister. We hadn't wanted to go to high school. We wanted to assimilate into the world, but there was no way we were going to high school again.

We were well off. We didn't need to get jobs, but the boredom eventually gets to you. We had more than enough money by now. We have worked endlessly and saved enough. Money was never a problem. The problem was keeping up with the charade. Emma was constantly annoyed by Ms. Cope, she wanted us to be enrolled at Forks high. We also often had to take some food from the market we worked at, or else Mrs. Lacey wouldn't let us leave. Of course, when this happened we had to make trips to Port Angeles to donate the food to the charities. It was tedious. Tanya had given us a car when we left, and we made sure to use it around the sleepy town in order to keep up appearances.

Sophie and I were at the small cabin we hab acquired in the woods. Emma was on her way home from the school. We didn't realize something had happened. We didn't realize that change was coming, and we certainly weren't prepared.

"So, Ms. Cope was telling me today about how you two should enroll at Forks High. She thinks it would be a really good experience for you two since you don't seem to talk to anyone but each other. And you know, I'm starting to agree with her. I think my darling little sisters should enroll. It would be such an amazing experience, don't you think?"

Sophie and I stared at Emma. There was no way we were going to school. We had more degrees than the entire staff. Emma just laughed.

"I'm kidding. Although she was nagging me about enrolling you two. I don't know how much longer I am going to be able to stand that woman. Anyway, I have some news. Carmen called me today at the office, she said that close friends of her were moving to Forks. The Cullens."

"The Cullens?" Emma questioned, " The other vegetarian clan? Why would they want to come to Forks? It's so boring here."

I sighed, "Probably for the same reason we moved here. They want to assimilate."

Emma sat down, "Carmen said they want to meet us, and if we don't mind, they want to say that they're related to us, in order to not attract as much attention. Think about it. Two different families with the same rare physical characteristics, in this case the golden eyes, not being related to each other? The humans would pick up on that and they'll become suspicious and investigate."

"It's not like we have any other choice. I guess the Cullens are our new family now."

I sighed again. I didn't feel comfortable with this. We don't know these people. We don't know what they are like.

Emma turned to me, "I know it's not the most ideal situation, but if we leave and they arrive, the town will become suspicious, and if they arrive and we tell them we aren't related, the two will notice become suspicious. We have to keep a low profile," she sighed, "Carmen told me they should be here in a few hours and they want to meet us, so get ready. There are seven of them and only three of us. We really don't have a choice."

I leaned my head against the wall, I did not like this at all. Anything could happen.

A few hours later we had arrived at the clearing we would be meeting the Cullens. Emma was in the middle with Sophie on her right and me on her left. If we survived this I was bit going to forgive her for not letting me bring a lighter. She trusted Carmen's judgement way too much.

The forest was quiet, with the occasional animal scurrying around. The trees went completely quiet, and we could hear

faint footsteps coming toward us. I tensed, as did Sophie and Emma. Seven pale skinned vampires burst into the clearing and stopped, taking us in. The Cullens.

A man with short, blond hair stepped forward, "Hello. Thank you for meeting us here. We know it's quite short notice, but we weren't aware you lived here until Tanya Denali told us. My name is Carlisle and this is my family."

Emma stepped forward, and nodded her head once, "It is a pleasure to meet you Carlisle. Tanya has told us much about you and your family. These are my sisters, Bella and Sophie."

Sophie and I stepped forward slightly and nodded. I observed at the Cullens while Emma and Carlisle negotiated. There was a woman standing beside Carlisle with caramel colored hair. This had to be Esme, his mate. Behind her, to her right, was a couple who was holding hands. The man was grinning at me. He was a burly man with dark hair, and his partner was a blonde woman with incredible beauty. Emmett and Rosalie. Nest to them was a pixie looking girl standing behind a man with shoulder length blond hair. He was very tense and had a frown on his face. This must be Alice and Jasper. Alice was bouncing slightly on her feet and was looking to the left. I followed her gaze and found myself looking at a face I hadn't seen since I was sixteen. The face of a boy whom I had loved. The face of a boy whom had died along with his parents.

Edward.

Through Bella 's point of view we get an overview of what has happened to her and the girls. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed.
