As I Watch You
[A/N: DO NOT SPAM ME BECAUSE THIS IS SHORT. I meant for it to be that way, so HAH!]
I watch the small, glistening jewel slide down your ivory cheek
And I begin to cry inside, too.
But the hawk shows no emotion of its impassive face.
It is instead bored, puzzled by this action.
And so that is what I look like.
I see the hurt on your face increase.
Inside, my heart has broken into a thousand pieces.
The words, "I will! I will!" push their way up to my throat.
Only to be forced back down.
Your sapphire eyes, so beautiful, so blue
Glittering in the golden dawn.
If only I was the same again
We could be together in the rising sun.
