At school- math class

It started to buzz. I looked up. The loud speaker above the door crackled and buzzed again. Then it started to shake. It was coming alive!

"Mark griffon!" the loud speaker said. "Report to Principal Heat's at once." I put my hand over my ears as I sink in my chair.

How did the loud speaker know my name? It was the first hour of the first day of school, and already my name was coming out of the loud speaker on the wall.

Everyone in class stared at me. Some kids stayed quit. Others giggled. A few whispered. But not Butch sailor. Nope.. He cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted, "way to go dork."

My teacher, Mr. Cody, gave me a considerate look.

Show no fear, I thought. Just think about Lopunny. As I walked toward the door like Ash Ketchum about to battle a gym. Okay, so I look nothing like ash Ketchum nor do I have his courage-but all the attitude No courage but the attitude.

When I reached the door, I turned to my best friend, Freddie Carlos. "If I don't come back," I told him, "you can have my favorite hat."

"Don't forget to clear you mind," Freddie whispered. "Remember, Mark. The mind is power."

Freddie is huge on clear your brain When ever I'm nervous, he always tells me to clear my mind. He learned that from his mom, who is a therapist.

Even though I was going to the principle's office, I was determined to leave in style, my held high. I flashed the class my best smile, the one where I show both sets of teeth. Then, in the middle of maybe the greatest exit ever, the loud speaker buzzed again.

"And don't you dare stop in the bathroom, young man," it said.

Now how did it know I was going to do that?

Everyone laughed as I left.

'This is going to be a long year,' I said under my breath.
