The Essence of Love

The essence of love is like love itself
What is love, you ask?
Love means sacrifice
Torture
Bonds
Even death
And yet it has good purposes too.
Love is like a cloak in a storm
The only weapon you have in a war
Only food in a famine.
Love is a shield, against all dangers
One that will never break.
And yet there are many typed of love.
A parent's love
A friend's love
Both as strong as the next.
Lasting for eternity, it does, it does
Shielding you
Forever.
