Meanest Father in the World
Four year old Donny, Leo, and Mikey were hanging out in the living room. They were playing with colored blocks.
"YOU'RE THE MEANEST FATHER IN THE WORLD!" Donny, Leo, and Mikey heard Raph scream.
"I'll go find out what's gotten into Raph," Leo said and then raced out of the room.
"Let's cheer Splinter up," Mikey suggested.
"Good idea," Donny said.
"Should we clean up the blocks first?"
"We can do that later."
Mikey nodded and he and Donny headed for Splinter's room. They were shocked to see their father's face buried in his hands.
"You all right, Splinter?" Mikey asked with concern.
"We heard what Raph said," Donny explained. Splinter looked up and his face was soaked.
"We don't think you're mean," Mikey said.
"Why did Raph call you mean?" Donny asked with curiosity.
Raph was on his bed pounding angrily on it. Just then, Leo entered the room and pulled Raph off the bed.
"Get off me," Raph said, trying to pull away from Leo who refused to loosen his grip.
"Not until you tell me why you called Splinter the meanest father in the world," Leo said firmly.
"He wouldn't let me go for a walk in the sewers by myself."
"That's because we're not old enough. We're only 4 years old. Also, Splinter loves us and wants to make sure nothing bad ever happens to us."
"Maybe I should apologize to Splinter."
"Good idea."
Leo finally released Raph. Then the two of them headed for Splinter's room.
Splinter was holding Mikey and Donny in his arms. Just then, Leo and Raph entered the room.
"Splinter, I want to apologize for what I just said," Raph said. "Leo made me realize why you told me I couldn't go for a walk in the sewers by myself."
"I accept your apology," Splinter said while gathering Raph in his arms.
"You have room for me?" Leo asked and Splinter gathered Leo in his arms.
The turtles latched onto Splinter and squeezed tightly. Splinter tightened his hold on the turtles and thought about how lucky he was to have them in his life.
Eventually, the turtles released Splinter and left the room. Splinter sat on his meditation mat and started meditating.
The turtles were playing with colored blocks in the living room. Just then, Splinter entered the room.
"Ready for dinner?" Splinter asked and the turtles nodded.
Splinter went into the kitchen and came back out with a box. He opened the box, which had cheese pizza, and the turtles started eating it.
"This is good," Mikey said.
"You're a great father," Donny said.
"I'm lucky to have you for a father," Raph told Splinter.
"We all are," Leo said, offering Splinter a slice of pizza which he accepted.
Splinter smiled at the turtles while they talked and ate. They cleaned up when they were done. The turtles went back to playing with the colored blocks. Splinter headed for his room to meditate.
