Hi! I'd love to say I've had so much homework (no, no I wouldn't...only as an excuse...) but honestly I've just been super tired because I keep reading too many fanfics...buuuut, regardless if you want this, would you call it 'oneshot'? well whatever I have written or not, you're getting it ;)
For those of you who have not read my fanfic An Argumentative Reveal, this is something the akuma I made (The Memory) changed to make Ladybug akumatised. Basically my akuma has/had the power to add/change/takeaway memories. The akuma changed/added (depending on what you believe/want) Ladybug's memory. this is the memory that made her turn evil. Enjoy! The Lady-Reason Why
Marinette wasn't sure when it started, but suddenly everyone was criticising Ladybug, even owner of the Ladyblog, her best friend Alya. Her partner Chat Noir was now Paris's favourite hero, she didn't mind that, she hated attention and was happy chat was finally getting recognised. She was only a bit annoyed when people starting saying things like 'I can't believe I ever thought chat noir was the sidekick, his work is to flawless, it's Ladybug who makes mistakes, she's the sidekick'. The worst thing was, Chat didn't even correct them. Instead he'd started bragging about how much everyone loved him. It'd become verbal abuse. It was constant. Every time she went into battle, she could hear the citizens pointing out her flaws. Chloe now hated both of her alter egos, and so did Adrien. Alya and Nino could only tolerate up to ten minutes of her. Even Tikki joined the hater club. She had lost it one night at patrol.
Ladybug and Chat Noir met at the top of the Efile Tower like normal.
"Hello Ladybad." Chat greeted her. He had long since abandoned Milady and chosen to call her what others did, Ladybad.
"Hi Chat, you know I hate that name. Please don't call me it." She replied, exasperated.
"Poor little bugabad can't handle criticism," he taunted (AN: Remember this is The Memory's fault, this isn't any where close to Chat behavior) "don't worry, I've got a gift for you. Oh and, don't bother doing patrol, I know you can't handle it, I'll do it. So long Ladybad." He dropped a wrapped box on the floor and jumped away into the night.
As Ladybug opened the wrapped box she silently cried, tonight he'd been kinder, usually it was much worse.
There was a note. She sank to her knees and could hardly read it for her hands shakes too much. When she'do read it, she took a moment to silently cry before looking at the gift. When she eventually saw it (AN: If you have read An Argumentative Reveal, this is about when she gives Chat her yoyo) she couldn't believe Chat could be so...so cruel.
It was a necklace, it had a cat crushing and killing a ladybug in it's paw. She put it on.
She went to her yoyo, thinking to destroy it, to show chat he needed her, but it was already gone. He must've taken it before he left. She was angry, hurt and sad. All of the things Hawk Moth wants to find an akuma victim. The butterfly landed on the necklace.
"Hello Ladybug. As you know, I am Hawk Moth. Let me be your new partner. All you want in exchange for yours and chats miraculous. Now don't worry if you find your earring are gone. Your kwami sensed you'd come to reason and had flown if with them. She never trusted you."
She heard Hawk Moth in her head.
"I agree to your terms new partner. Never fear. I know exactly were Tikki will be"
And with that. Ladybug was transformed. She had no name for what was the point, no one ever used it. People would just refer to her as The Lady.
