"Well, Mom, it's only been eighteen years, but I'm back." Katy said as she
knelt down in the small graveyard a short ride away from the newly built
house in Godric's Hollow. "I'm getting married tomorrow. Yeah, I know he's
a werewolf, so don't look at me like that." She turned to look at the other
grave stone. "You'd be proud of me, Dad. I've been a Chaser since my second
year." Katy laughed a little. "Yeah, Mum, I know I changed the subject. His
name is Sean Martin. My maid of honor is Elizabeth Satine. Yeah, you knew
her mother, Samantha. Sirius is going to act as father of the bride, since
Henri isn't interested, really. He never really liked me. We decided on a
small, wizarding-friends only ceremony. Jaqs is coming as my mother, and
Arabella agreed to cater. I graduated a couple of years back near the top
of my class. Pranking lowered my grades. Jaqs is doing well. She gave
Sirius and 'Bella her blessing years ago now." She glanced over her
shoulder to where a few birds seemed to be holding a horse in the general
area. "I've been raising phoenixes," she said with a smile. "I have four at
the moment. Yeah, I know I left France and Britain, but moving to LCACRW
made sense at the time."
Katy remembered a few days ago. "I saw Harry the other day. Of course, he didn't know who I was, but he'll be coming to my wedding as a friend of Elizabeth. We've never met since that night, and Elizabeth is a mutual friend of ours. Hey, how come you never warned us we were Gryffindor's heir? Were you watching over us and protecting us even in death? Dumb question. Of course you were." Katy's eyes filled as she blinked back tears. "Well, it's still hard to believe I'm getting married. I've known him since I was twelve the second time, and I'm sure he's my One. He's a Keeper. I have my own horse, Cauchemare Noire. She's pure black and a little bit of a hellion or Marauder, that's for sure." Katy grinned fondly at the memories she had of pure havoc being wreaked on the Slytherins. "It only took twenty one years, but I finally topped five foot. I got a job as an anime translator like Julie wanted to be, and partly in memory of her, but I love my job."
Katy held up a finger as if remembering something. "Sirius' name was cleared after the war with Voldemort, and he married 'Bella a year after, to the day." She knew if her parents were listening at all, they would want to know what happened to their friends. "Jaqs helped fund the ceremony, and would have paid for the entire thing if they had let her. They went somewhere nice, warm and away from large bodies of water for their honeymoon. Sean and I will be heading to Norway. I stopped being a princess five years ago. Yes, I know Elizabeth is a couple of years younger than me. Time traveling errors. Hey, at least I didn't duplicate myself." Katy stood up, dusting off her breeches. "Well, I have to go. He's calling me. Mom, Dad, I love you." she said as she walked over to her horse and swinging up, riding away from her parents' grave to her new life.
