"James, just… please leave me alone," she said exhausted.
"Lily, as I have said once before, I will leave you alone if it makes you happy and me miserable, goodbye Lily Evans," he said dejected and started walking away. Lily couldn't stand to see him sad because it broke her heart.
"James?"
"Yes, Lily," he had stopped, but was still turned away from her.
"Come here." He obeyed, looking at the ground.
She stepped closer to him and hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck, eyes closed. He buried his head in her neck, and wrapped his arms tightly around her as if he never wanted to let her go. She pulled away slightly and looked him in the eye. Her arms were still around his neck, one hand playing with his hair. She pulled his head closer. Her lips touched his softly. She pulled away and lay her head on his shoulder and sighed. "Never leave me."
"I promise I will never leave you Lily. I love you more than should be possible."
"I know what you mean. I love you too," she whispered.
"I'd do anything…" he whispered and she knew what he meant.
Strange little fanfic but hey. I thought of it while I was listening to I'd do anything by simple plan.
