~ Hi, It's ItIsn'tMusicIt'sAnObsession ( formely Athena0228 ). I came up with a new idea for a story, it was originally going to be a one-shot but it came out too long. This takes place after TLO. ~

I packed my backpack with haste, listening for a pause in my father's snoring that would alert me he's awake. I gathered what little clothes and money I had and shoved it to the bottom of the bag. After setting the ambrosia and nectar on top I grabbed my dagger and sheathed it. " No more. " I said in between my tears. Softly running to my window I eased it open and slipped into the moonlit night. " I'm sorry, but I can't take it anymore.", I whispered towards the house, " Goodbye. " and with that I ran towards the train station.

1 Hour Later

" Percy. Percy! PERSUES! " I awoke quickly, falling off the small couch and onto the floor.

" Huh? What? " I mumbled, my voice still thick with sleep.

" Annabeth's run away again! She was doing so well! Her step-mother and I have been trying so hard to make her life better, but I guess we failed. Please Percy, you have to help us find her! " Professor Chase explained sadly.

" Annabeth ran away again? I just talked to her tonight and she seemed fine. I'll be there in forty-five minutes. " I swung my hand through the Iris message. I trudged to my bedroom careful not to wake up my mother and the Blowfish. While changing I thought back to Annabeth and my conversation earlier this evening.

" How are things going with your Dad? Any better? "

" Yeah, I can tell they're trying really hard to make me feel at home. " She had said happily.

" Are you sure? You could be faking, you've done it before. " I said recalling the time she had lied through her teeth about her home life.

I don't know if I had imagined it but it looked like her face fell a little, " I'm sure. Well, I got to get to bed. "

" Now? It's only 8. "

" You know what they say, ' Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man, happy, wealthy, and wise. ' I love you Seaweed Brain. Never forget that. "

" I love you too. No matter what happens, I will always love you. "

She had seemed fine but I have learned that there's more to Annabeth than meets the eye. I gave myself three minutes in the shower, then clothed quickly. I stuck Riptide into my pocket then stepped out onto the fire escape, emitting a shrill whistle. I watched as the black shadow descended and gracefully landed onto the pavement below. I scurried down the fire escape, then climbed onto Blackjack's back.

" To Annabeth's House. " My tone warned Blackjack not to speak as we flew. Twenty minutes later we landed in front of the small house, Professor Chase was waiting on the porch.

" Percy! I'm so glad you came! " I studied Annabeth's father, he had bags under his eyes and worry lines covered his face.

" Why wouldn't I come? She's my fiance. " I said smugly.

" I know but still. It is three a.m. you know. Anyway, I'm almost positive she's going to camp. So I think we should check the train station. "

" No offense Mr. Chase but I think I should find her myself. I'll be sure to keep you posted. " I said knowing Annabeth wouldn't want her father around.

He sighed deeply, " Okay Percy. I trust you'll be able to find her. "

I started to mount Blackjack when I heard my name being called.

" Yes, Professor Chase? "

He smiled, his teeth shining in the dark, " You're a good man. I'm glad my daughter's marrying you. "

" Thanks! " I yelled as Blackjack took off.
