Hey everyone! I was watching Season 3 of TNG yesterday and, since I've been on a bit of a poetry high lately, I decided to put Ellie's emotions from "Whisper to a Scream" and wrote them into a poem. Read, review, enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Degrassi

My Choice

I see my father go

I wave goodbye

Bad luck seems to find me

I begin hiding a lie

()()

I see the bottles

I smell the smoke

Now it hits me

I am all alone

()()

I find my solace

And it makes me bleed

I have my distractions

But it's still a desperate need

()()

My flesh is marked

The injuries are a sight

But how else can I release this pain?

How can I on these lonely, lonely nights?

()()

Here comes the foe

But now she's a hero

I now see that I can't hold this in

I refuse to live life in this low

()()

When the time comes

I will find my voice

Until that day comes

Leaving it behind will be my choice

All inspiration for this poem came from that one episode and I thought it was really intense since it focused on the issue known as cutting.

Check out The Cliffhanger Girl and I's collaboration "Trespasser". It's on her profile.
