Grinning Idiot
I want what's best for her. I've always wanted what's best for her. She deserves it. And yet, she stood there, hot tears streaming down her beautiful face, watching another loved figure in her life leave her behind. I'd failed her. I promised I would keep her safe, but here she stood, in pain. But even if this time, it was her choice to let him leave, I still felt her pain as well. When she cries, it's the worst thing that can happen to both of us. The pain she feels, I feel it too.
And yet, all I could do was stand there and smile like a grinning idiot. I had realized a while back, that she needed someone on whom she could rely on, who would never leave her behind. I would never leave her behind. So all I could do, was stand there and smile like a grinning idiot…
