Spencer loved Christmas but he wasn't so sure he liked all of the traditions that came with it. Mainly he was thinking that he really didn't like the mistletoe that was all over the place. He frowned as he saw that a woman was heading his way and he quickly tipped his head back to look up above him and sure enough there was that evil sprig so he quickly made his way from out from underneath it. He sighed in relief as he realized that he had dodge another proverbial bullet.

As his eyes looked around the bull pen of the BAU he caught Penelope looking at him and he swallowed hard. As he saw the look in her eyes even from across the room he knew that she noticed him moving from under the mistletoe. When she started heading his way he swallowed again and looked for an escape route but couldn't find one. Before he could even take a step in any direction a hand came down onto his arm and grasped it.

"What are you doing Genius Boy?" Penelope asked.

Spencer swallowed. "I don't know what you're talking about Penelope."

Penelope glared at Spencer. "Oh don't even try that with me my little string bean. Why do you keep moving from underneath the mistletoe's that are all around the bull pen?"

Spencer swallowed convulsively and said "Because I don't want random women kissing me."

Penelope rolled her eyes and said "Now Spencer just because they kiss you doesn't mean you have to talk to them."

Spencer frowned at this and looked at Penelope. "Why would you kiss someone and not talk to them? That's not nice at all."

Penelope shook her head. "Oh my Genius Boy you have so much to learn. Just because you kiss someone and don't talk to them it doesn't mean it's not nice. Wouldn't you rather kiss someone and not talk to them rather than kiss someone and then take the chance on saying the wrong thing?"

Spencer thought on this for a minute and then shook his head. "No I would rather not kiss someone at all."

Penelope groaned and said "Spencer it's a party. Stop over thinking everything and just go with the flow."

Spencer looked at Penelope and said "You know I've never understood that phrase. Why would you want to go with the flow? I mean if you were in a pool or a river or something then yes you would want to go with the flow so that you don't drown but what does a flow have to with this party?"

Penelope threw her hands up in the air and said "Spencer it's just a saying. It means not to over think and just let things happen naturally."

Spencer nodded. "I do let things happen naturally Penelope but being kissed under a mistletoe is not natural."

Instead of responding to him Penelope pushed him backwards gently until he was standing under the mistletoe and then she laid a kiss on him. She laughed at his expression when she pulled back. "Now that is what I say is going with the flow."

Spencer opened up his mouth and then shut it only to open it up again only to say indignantly "You kissed me!"

Penelope laughed again and said "Wow that I did."

Spencer watched in shock as Penelope walked away from him. He saw another woman heading his way and he once again moved quickly so he wasn't under the mistletoe. He didn't think he could handle any more kisses tonight.

Penelope turned her head just in time to see Spencer dart out from under the mistletoe and she chuckled. She shook her head and couldn't help but think that one of these days she was going to break him down and make him see that he had nothing to fear from the opposite sex.
