Timeless Ally

Ensign Ally Dawson is alone in USS Voyager's mess hall, working on her computer.

"Miss Dawson, are you okay?" says Captain Janeway as she walk up to Ally.

"Yeah, I guess so..." says Ally. "One thing still confuse me, who sent those new phase corrections to Seven of Nine?"

"Looks as though we've got a guardian angel...and her name's Ally Dawson." says Captain Janeway. "The transmission was signed with a Starfleet security code. Your code."

"I told you, I didn't send anything." says Ally.

"No, not yet. The transmission had a temporal displacement. Seven believe it to have originated somewhere in the future, between 10 and 20 years from now, we don't know exactly." says Captain Janeway.

"Hold on a sec..." says Ally. "If I sent a message from the future and changed history, then that future would no longer exist, right? So how could I've sent the message to begin with?"

"My advice in making sense of temporal paradoxes is, don't even try. To me, all that matters is that somewhere, somehow, sometime, you'll come through for us. If you won't take it from me, please take it from yourself. Seven found a log entry within the transmission. A message from Ally Dawson...to Ally Dawson." says Captain Janeway.

Captain Janeway gives Ally a tricorder, smile friendly and then leave.

Ally interfaces the tricorder with her computer, tap in her access code and a video message from her older future self appear on the screen.

Future Ally says "Hello, Ally. I don't have much time, so listen to me. Fifteen years ago, I made a mistake and 150 people died. I've spent every day since then regretting that mistake. But if you're watching this right now, that means all of that has changed. You owe me one."

A male voice from behind Future Ally says "Miss Dawson, your help please..."

Future Ally says with a friendly smile "I need to end here. See ya."

Ally smile and sings to herself.

And here we are, just you and me. The day we met, didn't know if you would be my...my best friend.

Though I see, you are.

We've gone so far. And seen so much.

And I feel that we should've been together. You're my best friend. Through up and down.

You're the part of my life, I'll always remember.

A glory day. It will just be. And I know, that you are always my friend.

I know it's true. I really do trust you.

Ally eat her cupcake, turn off her computer, takes it with her and leave the mess hall, an adorable smile still on her face.

The End.
