Just a drabble of interaction, but it's the first time I've written Greg.

"Hey G-man, see you had a run-in with a razor."

Gil tried not to wince as Greg spun into the locker room and moon-walked the few steps to his own locker. He ran a self-conscious hand over his newly revealed chin. It was only several hours old and still felt very odd.

"I shaved Greg, yes."

The younger man looked out around his locker door, throwing an appraising glance at his boss. "Shame, you were going to be my inspiration." He ran a hand along his sideburns. "The word on the street is that the saucy Sara likes a man with facial fuzz – a word that I intend to take full advantage of."

Grissom looked into his locker and tried to hide the smirk that threatened to accompany the memory of the exact reason he had shaved.

With a straight face he turned to the room.

"Greg, Sara isn't exactly the type of person to be so shallow as to let appearance be the predominating factor in attraction."

He sounded tired and Greg thought that maybe he needed a woman of his own.

"It's a good thing, then, that I am merely tipping scales that were all ready to go in my favour. Sara thinks.." he paused a moment to add emphasis to the moment, "that I am cute."

Oh, to be a bigger man in moments like these. But Grissom is human and to be human is to be petty. "You know, Greg, Sara once told me that cute is for kittens."

He almost felt sorry for his younger colleague as a momentary frown fell over over his face like a cloud, quickly chased away by the young man's innate self-confidence.

"Well, if it's for Sara, I'll wear the bow and play with a rubber mousie."

Greg finished putting his gear away and went to the door; Grissom could visibly see him shaking off the excess of his personality, which is muted these days. He turned.

"You know, not everyone might think that Sara's a catch, but I do. And I really think I've got a chance these days."

And he is gone, leaving Grissom to gather his thoughts before shift, but mainly thinking about the sheer tactile pleasure of Sara when they're together. Of picking up his Remington just to have more skin to feel her with.

"No Greg, not even by the hair on my chinny chin chin."
