Author's Note: This story is dedicated to Smart Kira, who requested that I write more Ben & Sue stories. Thank you, Guest, for reviewing and helping with the choice of which one-shot story to spare. It was very helpful.

Also, to avoid confusion, this story is an AU, and takes place at an airport.

Disclaimer: I don't own The Fantastic Four.

Ben watched breathlessly as Sue entered the terminal, his eyes locking onto her the moment he spotted her.

Her silky golden strands of hair pulled up into a tight bun, and her baby-blue eyes hiding behind a thin layer of mascara-coated lashes.

She was dressed in her usual attire; a white blouse, black skirt, and matching black pumps.

A small smile played on her lips as she pulled her suitcase behind her, and made her way across the terminal, a hand held out for him to shake.

"Ben," She greeted politely, struggling to keep their reunion as professional as possible, for fear of prying eyes.

Ben however, wouldn't have it.

Tossing formalities aside, he rejected her hand, and pulled her in for a tight hug, causing her to lose her grip on her suitcase, and have it clatter onto the floor.

To which she responded with a light laugh, and quick peck on the cheek as soon as they parted.

"Oh, Susie," he sighed happily, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, and breathing in the sweet scent of her perfume.

Ben had begun to wonder when, if ever, he'd be able to see Susan again.

Between his job as a pilot and her job as a secretary, they hardly had any time to themselves (let alone together), and he certainly wanted the time they had to count.

It had been too long since he'd held her in his arms.

Too long since he'd touched her smooth skin, and kissed her soft lips.

For Ben, every day without Susan was like a hot day without rain.

And now, after much yearning and waiting, he was finally being drenched.

Without warning, he picked up her small frame, and spun her around, causing another (much longer) laugh to escape from her lips.

"Ben!" she giggled, "Put me down!"

Ben complied, giving a short laugh himself when her high-heels met the floor with a 'click', and kissed her whole-heartedly on the lips.

"I'm sorry," he apologized, slowly drawing back from her. "It's just been too long..." he explained.

Sue smiled and cupped his face in her hands.

"Don't apologize," she told him, with a slight shake of her head. "I missed you too."

"Oh, yeah?" he asked, feigning surprise. "How much?"

Sue rested her head on his shoulder, and he pulled her body closer into his chest, swaying them both back and forth.

"Lots..." she whispered, a happy tear running down her cheek.
