Day 8 of ficlet Series
Disclaimer: I Own Nothing
It was the first Christmas they'd had since the apocalypse that didn't happen. Dean had gotten to keep his angel and had gotten both of his brother's back, angel free. To him he had everything that was needed for a perfect Christmas.
The three Winchester brothers were currently sitting in Bobby's living room. Miracle on 34th Street was playing in the background as the brother's lounged. They'd been banished from the kitchen an hour ago after Dean had tried to swipe another bite of the pie.
Dean was now attempting, without much success, to teach Adam the rules and merits of poker. Sam watched amused and satisfied that he wasn't the only Winchester to not excel at the card game.
Adam's face scrunched in frustration before he threw the cards down. Sam snorted, "Told you it would go over well."
Dean went to make a snarky remark when the ruffling of feathers cut him off. Castiel sat down on the arm of the couch leaning down to give Dean a kiss. He sat back and ran a hand through Dean's short hair.
"Hello Sam, Adam. Merry Christmas."
The two younger brother's returned the greeting. Adam leaned forward to grab the remote when Bobby yelled for them to get a move on if they intended to eat.
The meal wasn't anything special, just a mix of everyone's favorites, even including a few hamburgers for Cas, who ignored Sam's protests about how that wasn't proper Christmas food. Which led to a long discussion about what was normal for a Christmas menu and since when had they ever had a normal Christmas? Adam and Bobby, the only ones at the table who had had enough of normal christmas's exchanged amused glances before turning back to their food. It was only when bobby told the idjits to shut up and eat their food that they stopped arguing and dug in.
By the end of the meal Adam was bouncing up and down in excitement. He had finished before everyone else and waited rather impatiently for them all to finish. Once everyone was done he ran around the table and had the dishes going through the dishwasher in record timing and beat everyone to the living room.
Once everyone had piled into the living room Adam began to pass out the presents. Just as Dean was halfway through ripping the paper off his gift from Adam Cas spoke up.
"Sam…why is there a plant floating above your head?"
