KINGDOM HEARTS I

"When fantasies fill up the sky

And selfish gain within hearts thrive

Then no longer can a hero fly

And into a deep abyss he dives

What happens when Oedipus fails

To solve the Sphinx's question?

Then the king becomes ship without sails

And he falls to a fang's sensation

When hearts scream out their affright

And the Siren's call deafens Hercules' ear

Then to another he'll yield his might

And a new day, not his, will near

Can the Moon shine without the Sun?

Or the wolf fight without fang and claw?

As is a knight without conviction

And a warrior that true light never saw

They said friendship will bind you for life

But what will catch them when friends betray?

They said light will save from pain and strife

But when the sun dies someday, what will they say?

In the requiem of night, they scream

Louder than the ones they attempt to save

For when the truth is bear, they aren't who they seem

And to their temptation they will stave

In the end, with desperate desire,

To right the innocent that Sin has wronged

Time itself must turn back ice and fire

And give the day to new hearts, new songs
