Worth more than Rubies
Some girls out there wear
Tight jeans and back baring shirts,
They get guys to look at them
Well that's not me.
When a guy looks at me
I want him to love my personality,
My humor, I want him to
Love me for me,
Not my body,
Me.
Those girls have no idea that it's only for now
That this charade will perish
And all the outward beauty
Will wither like dried roses.
That the only way to obtain and
Keep their beauty
Is to work on it from the inside.
Not with mascara, lip-gloss, or Abercrombie,
But with faith, hope, and modesty.
I want to be a princess for God and Heaven,
Not a lady of now and Earth,
And one day I hope those girls
Will understand what it's like to be a
Ruth.
