AW 1288. It's a new Algol, and Captain Tyler and his crew, "The Hazards," are doing what they can to pick up the pieces of what's left of their planetary system and explore what's beyond. The title should read "Captain Tyler..." but I ran out of room.

Welcome to my story! I was going to wait to post this (I've already waited a month) until I had more chapters done, but at the moment I am going through some personal, health-related issues and don't know when I will return to fanfic writing. I wanted to at least post what I've completed, and I hope you'll enjoy it even though it's only the briefest of introductions to an idea I've had (with the help of a lot of friends!) for a post-PSII adventure. It's uncouth, tongue-in-cheek and full of innuendo, but hopefully at times it will be serious enough to be touching as well.

The "Seven Hazards" from the title are Captain Tyler's crew, of which five are introduced in the first chapter. Some of them will be familiar characters and some of them are my own creations (again, huge thanks to my friends for coming up with some awesome ideas to help flesh these characters out).

Hopefully things in my life will resolve sooner rather than later, and I can continue with all of the wonderful ideas I have lined up for this series. In the meantime, please enjoy this bit of writing, which I think stands alone well enough that it should be a good read, anyway. At the very least, the story has Ustvestia in it, and who doesn't like a flamboyant musician, right?
