Lily Luna Potter and The Worst Path

Chapter 1- Lily's First letter

"Mum? Dad? Where are you guys?" demanded Lily. She waited for anyone to speak, but alas! no voice came. She had to go downstairs, still calling for them but came to a halt as the birthday song swept through her ears. Quiet astonished to see that the hall was full of decorations and a cake lay on the table.

"When did they do it?" she whispered to herself.

As she thought about it, she heard her mom asking, " How's the surprise?" and Ginny moved forward to hug her daughter.

"I, I really dont know how to thank you! I am speechless for all this but when did you do it?"

Before Ginny could answer, harry moved forward to wish his daughter her 11th birthday and kissed Lily on the forehead, "Right when you were sleeping. We just thought to surprise you, and called Ron and Hermione here. Right, Ginny?"

"Yeah. And Lily, guess who else is here?"

Lily moved forward and saw that not only Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermione were here, also Hugo, Rose, Uncle Fred and Uncle George, her grandmother and grandfather, almost everyone was here! She saw Uncle Fred and Uncle George coming toward her and when they came, they gave Lily a small box. She was observing the box and Fred whipered.

"Just becareful with them, right George?"

"Right, Fred. Do not use them until you go Hogwarts, Lily."

"But what is in it Uncle George?" asked Lily.

"Just for some fun." George and Fred answered at the same time. They winked at Lily and backed away.

Lily was so blithe to see them all and soon they were done with the greetings and cutting of the cake. Now Lily was playing with Hugo and Rose while the adults sat in the living room talking and laughing.

Now Ginny, who was looking out of the window, spotted an owl coming toward their home. "Harry?"

"Yes, Ginny?"

"Did you write a letter to someone?"

"No, why?"

"There's an owl coming toward our house."

Now everyone was waiting for the owl to approach and when it did, Harry took the letter from the owl which said:

"Its a letter for Lily, from Hogwarts." announced Harry.

"Lily? Lily! There's a letter for you!" called Ginny.

Lily rushed toward to take her letter and was filled with excitement as she saw that she'll be going to Hogwarts!

"So it means that we'll be soon going for shopping? In the Diagon Alley? And soon i'll be at Hogwarts, learning magic?" asked Lily. "Of course Dear." answered Ginny. As she heard the answer, Lily's face beamed with excitement.

A month had passed and Lily had bought her stuff and a pretty snowy owl. 1st September was not so far and she had already packed her trunk. As the days passed , she became more happierand asked questions related to Hogwarts regularly. She would ask about the houses, Hogwarts Express, feast, subjects and other things.

"C'mon Lily, you've got to sleep now or we won't be able to reach King's Cross on time." ordered Ginny.

"Okay mom! I'm comin'!" said Lily.

Lily quickly got up and did as her mother told her. She got in her cosy bed and closed her eye, dreaming about hogwarts...about magic...and in time she was sleeping so as to wake up on time tomorrow and reach Platform Nine and Three Quarters.
