A/N: After almost two years, I'm back! There was this huge thing with my internet among other things, and it was all this big mess. It's all over now, though, and here I am!
To all of you who've read Rogues, thank you so much! I never got to thank all of you for reading and reviewing and everything in between, so thank you! And never fear, as long as you all still want me to, I completely plan on continuing it, but I'm taking some time to write out chapters ahead of posting. It'll be a few weeks before I update it again, I only hope you'll continue reading it.
As for this, it's a very short blurb I thought of early this morning. There's not much at all (a little under 200 words), but eh, I kind of like it, aha. Hope you all do, too!
Do you remember the first day we met, Philby? I do.
We were suiting up in those awful green suits to make the DHIs. I thought you looked like a geek.
I never knew that would be the beginning, Philby.
I never even considered that would be the start of all the late night conversations, of the secret glances, of the blushing and sweet gestures, of us.
It's strange to think of, isn't it?
That day, in those restricting consumes, sweating relentlessly, miming out the actions that would later make us heroes, was the start of everything.
I'll tell you a secret, Philby.
That's my favorite day.
While I may have complained that the suits were tight, or that the rest of you were weirdos at the time, or anything else, I gained a lot that day.
I gained friends.
I gained opportunities.
I gained you.
I'll always be thankful for that day, Philby.
It was the start of everything.
