You pulled up to your grandparents' house in Nowhere, Kansas. The wind was blowing and your (f/c) car was so warm as the song played on the radio. You sang along.

I wanna rock with somebody (whoo, yeah)

I wanna take shots with somebody

You walked up to the porch and knocked on the door. A tall boy around your age with messy fuschia hair, black shorts, a pink t-shirt, freckles and purple Converse opened the door. "Ummm.. Is Mrs. Bagges here? She's my grandmother.." You tried to look over him as he gave a confused look. "Oh! You must be uh... (Y/N.)'' "Yeah..'' You two awkwardly stared at each other as you saw your grandmother, Muriel. "(Y/N)! I haven't seen you in ages! Oh, you've grown a bit since I've seen you.'' your grandmother cooed. "So, Grandma, who's the bo-" you were interrupted by a blood curdling scream and your grandpa laughing. "Eaustace! You'll scare the freckles off of him!" Your grandma said. "So, (Y/N), this is Courage. He takes care of us." "Hi..." he says, and blushes. "So, (Y/N) You can sleep in the attic with Courage. Talk a bit while I make dinner. You were led into the house and you waved to your grandpa. You were one of the few people he liked. "Hi Grandpa." you said. "Hi, (Y/N).'' He said, sitting on his chair. You went up the stairs and put your luggage under the bed and you took out your phone and plugged in your headphones. "No WiFi..." you groaned. ''So, uh, Courage, you single?" you asked. "Yeah, my girlfriend cheated on me." he says. "What's worse than that?" he says. "Your boyfriend commiting suicide.'' You say, covering your face in the pillow. "Oh," Courage says. "I-I'm sorry.." he says. "Dinner's ready, Courage and (Y/N)!" Grandma hollers. "Okay!" you and Courage said at the same time. You race Courage and you win because he saw a spider on the staircase and tripped. You helped him up and ate dinner next to him as you talked with your grandma. "Here you go (Y/N)'' Your grandma placed your favorite food infront of you. "Where's me dinner, woman?" Eaustace snarls. "Here, grandpa." You got up and put a plate of food in front of him. He greedily began to eat as Courage steadily ate his food. "So, (Y/N), what brings you to Nowhere?" you finished eating and replied, "Mom sent me to live with you because I got in a fight on the soccer field." "Oh.. sweetie. It's okay. You can sleep in the attic." she says solemnly. You finish and wash your plate before showering and getting in the bunk bed. "Goodnight, (Y/N)." Courage said. "Goodnight, Courage."
