OKay so today, it was raining and me and my family were lying around for like two hours and I was lying under a blanket going on tumblr and thinking about the many times that when I was a young child and had woken up because of rain and gone into my parents room, and then, because I was on tumblr, I thought of Hijack... Enjoy!

Hiccup woke up to the baby crying. He checked the clock next to him. It was 2 a.m.

He groaned and turned over to wake up Jack, but found Jack lying there, staring at him.

He laughed softly, "oh my god, Jack, you scared me. Your eyes always seem to light up in the dark... It's really strange."

The baby wailed again.

Hiccup raised his eyebrows at Jack. "You wanna go get him?"

"I don't have a choice, do I?"

"Nope."

"Okay," Jack sighed and got up. As he made his way to Hiro's room, he walked by the window. Thunder roared and Hiro started crying again.

"Oh, scared of the thunder, are we?" Jack said, picking up Hiro. Lightning flashed and lit up the room. Hiro whimpered and snuggled into Jack's arms. "It's okay, there's nothing to be afraid of. It's just some rain," he said walking by the window. As they got close to the window, Hiro turned away. "No? Alright, let's go back to bed."

Jack thought about how they had only had Hiro for almost a year. He remembered the adoption process and here they were, up at 2 in the morning. Jack climbed back into bed with Hiro.

"Hey, Toothless." Hiccup said. Toothless was Hiro's nickname Jack and Hiccup had given him because whenever he smiled, Jack pointed out how he had no teeth, and it just caught on.

After a while, Hiro had fallen asleep, and Hiccup lay there, listening to the rain.

"Hey Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you awake?"

"No..."

"Okay, well, remember back in high school, when we first started dating?"

"Of course," Jack replied, thinking about the drama of high school.

"Did either of us ever think we'd end up here? Married? With a child? Because, honestly, I didn't think we'd last more than a month," Hiccup said with a soft chuckle.

"actually, no. I'd never thought about the future... Remember, those were my 'live in the moment' days, when I didn't care where I ended up. But I'm glad I ended up with you, here."

"Me too."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

The next morning, they woke up to more rain. Jack decided it would be a stay at home day.

"Hic, let's just not do anything today. It's like... A lazy day. Let's just stay in our pajamas and lay around all day."

"That actually sounds pretty good," Hiccup replied.

For the rest of the day, they did nothing but lie around together with Hiro and watch TV.

And from that day on, every rainy day was declared a lazy day by Jack.

It was a tradition they never broke.

I've actually had some pretty good ideas about Hijack fanfics that I'm going to write this summer, hopefully soon, because my last exam is on Tuesday (no school Monday yay)
