Cherry Blossom Dragons

This is my first fanfic for this site so I'm a bit excited. This stroy, first and formost, is AU(Kinda) and is meant to confuse to you. Do worry, you won't be left in the dark for long. Note: I do NOT! own Naruto or anything like that, so please don't sue. Not that you'd want to...I'm poor anyways. Anywho, enough of my jabbering...ON WITH THE PROLOG!

Prolog: Strange Homecoming

Kakashi stirred restlessly on the tree branch he was currently perched on for the hundredth time that week.

"Do you see Sakura? Ne? Ne?"

"Shut up Dobe."

Kakashi sighed, remembering that this was Naruto and Sasuke's 100th time out here as well.

"I hate guard duty." Naruto sulked, drawing another sigh from Kakashi. The sliver-hair ninja turned his eye to the blond Shinobi, smiling the only way he knew how.

"Then I guess you don't care if Sakura comes home then do you?" Kakashi chuckled.

"EH! It's not like that!" Naruto grumbled. "It's just…"

SNAP!

Naruto's ears twitched, and his head snapped around. Kakashi and Sasuke followed suit. On the path below them were two women, one, with bright pink hair, was being carried by the other, her hair to matted with blood and dirt to distinguish a color. Both were bleeding from various wounds on there bodies.

"SAKURA!" Naruto choked on his words.

The three poofed from the trees to the ground near the women.

She stepped back, startled.

'More enemies, must fight.'

She pulled a kunai knife.

'Protect Lady Kimi, protect the cherry blossom.'

She looked into the eye of the first to die.

'Eye?'

"Eye? I wanna know what's up with the mask."

"Hey, lady!" Naruto yipped. "Why do you have Sakura!"

"…"

"Oi, can you hear me?" Sasuke grunted, reaching out a hand.

The woman jumped back nimbly, despite having Sakura on her back, and pulled a Kunai. Kakashi watched as the female's eye snapped to his one. For a second he thought he saw…but whatever it was that he saw in the woman's eyes was replaced by confusion.

"Eye! I wannna know what's up with the mask." The woman said in a clear, calm voice. Then her knees buckled, and Sakura's weight carried them to the ground.

The three male shinobi glanced at each other, unsure if what just happened, really happened.

"Shouldn't we get them to the hospital and the Hokage?" Sasuke broke the silence.

This made Naruto panic, which earned him a kick in the ass from Kakashi.

"You guys grab Sakura," Kakashi ordered. "I'll take this one back right now, I don't think she'll make it otherwise."

"But Sakura…" Naruto whined.

"Will live, her wounds aren't to bad," Kakashi growled, losing his patience.

"But why…" Sasuke yelled.

"HER EYES ARE DEAD YOU NIMRODS!" Kakashi roared, vanishing in a cloud of smoke.

Naruto and Sasuke stood rooted the their spots for a moment longer, then grabbed Sakura and headed for the hospital.

Sooooo? Whatcha think? Can't follow real well? Sorry, my writing style is a bit...jumpy so...; I hope y'all like it. Oh! Also, I'm using a school computer right now, so my updates will be sparatic. GOMEN! R-N-R, and maybe someone would like to be my bata-reader? Yes? No?

Notes:

I thought the whole "nimrod" thing was something Kakashi would say but I don't know. It works...right?

Everyone's age in this story is:

Kakashi: 26

Naruto: 21

Sasuke: 22

Sakura: 20

The person who has Sakura in the beginning: 24

The rest of the Rookie 9: Early 20's

Gai's team: Mid 20's

Garra's team: Early 20's

I'm not sure who alls going to be in this fic, so just bare with me.
