So I've started the Fire Emblem 100 challenge, and am kicking it off with one of my favorite pairngs in the Fire Emblem series, Ike and Soren. Please read and review, as I am still learning how the crap to use this site.

"I don't like it Soren." Ike said grumpily, as he paced around the caravan grounds. Soren just watched him inscrutably as they inspected tents and food supplies, saying nothing as Ike ranted unhappily. "I'm not meant to be royalty. It doesn't fit me."

"Uh, sir?" A soldier peered at Ike quizzically while saluting. Ike turned annoyed that someone else was there. "Don't you have somewhere to be? I'm busy."

"Sir!" Saluted the soldier nervously, running off in a random direction. He did not want to be on the receiving end of whatever had his commanding officer preoccupied. Soren watched the hastily retreating soldier for a moment before turning to face Ike.

"Ike."

"I'm not royalty Soren, I can't handle it, I don't want to go to parties --,"

"Ike."

"--I hate being formal, I can't stand dancing, politics annoy me--,"

"Ike!" Soren yelled. Ike wheeled around to face the tiny mage, who was looking patiently back at him. "Are you listening now?" Ike glared at him, resenting being interrupted. "First, royalty or not, Princess Elinicina chose you. You are now the commanding officer to this army. You need the title, empty or not to command not just the soldiers, but their respect also." Soren brushed his dark hair out of his eyes, continuing. "Second, the political situations aren't entirely important, as the princess understands you fairly well enough, and Empress Sanaki is the only real dignitary you have to offend. As long as you try not to say anything too bad, you should be fine."

"Third," Soren's mouth split into a rare grin. "I think you'd look excellent in formal wear."
