Chapter 1-( the trip Accompanied by soldiers of King Edward, Serenity ventured off with only these few men and her closest friend Luna, which also happened to be her beloved cat.
* Can this get any worse? *
This trip was solely planned for the engagement of herself and prince endyimon. Because of her 16th birthday, that was next week, her parents and his thought it would be nice to spend some time with each other and get to know one another.
"Oh Luna, ever since I was small I had hope to marry someone I love weather it be peasant or royalty...." she sighed wistfully "but I know my duty and the people shall always be first before me." her eyes flashed with determination.
"Halt!" came an unfamiliar voice, "who goes there?" Serenity stuck her head out of the carriage to see what the commotion was all about when William her personal bodyguard and dear companion shoved her head rather rudely back into the carriage while hissing "Nity stay inside and don't do anything stupid!" pouting Serenity did what she was ordered to do although the urge to stick her tongue out was almost unbearable to subdue. William sent her a small smile before shouting back " It is we the royal guards escorting our princess lady Serenity of the moon kingdom." A few words were shared before the carriage began to move again.
"Thank Goodness" sighed Serenity lying back against the seat "I thought it was trouble..." Luna meowed in response. "Nity," called William hopping into the carriage "we need to talk" he sent her a stern look "what you did a few mins ago could have been deadly, we are not in the moon kingdom anymore and you have to-"
"Understand that things are done differently on earth." finished serenity "I know, I know Will it's just that I'm tried and sore, and greatly aggravated. I'm to get married on my birthday to a prince I haven't met yet who could be a pain in the ass, and an aroggent fool and whose heart could only be after money and riches. He might not even be true to me! What happens if we have children?! Not only that I'm not ready to be tied down to obligations I want to live free and finish doing things I've always wanted!" cried Serenity tears gathering in her eyes.
"Oh golden girl," whispered William softly engulfing her into his usual bear hug "I know how you must feel and you know I tried everything in my power to see to it that you do most of those inappropriate adventures but you must do this. It's for the kingdom as well as your own welfare...come now where's that stubborn lass I know?"
Serenity nodded her head and took a deep breath before straitening up and flashing a watery smile. "Their she is." said William kissing her forehead softly
"You know I love right will?" suddenly said Serenity looking deep into his brown eyes "Of course you do. I was the one who took you out of your momma and held you to the world." said William happily "I saw you grow up, you're like a daughter to me and I would never let anything bad happen to you."
Serenity hugged the man tighter before replying with a mischievous look "a daughter? You look more to a grand father to me..." William through his head back and laughed while serenity giggled childishly "My dear Serenity how I shall miss you."
"Miss me why William I thought you knew better! I talked with mother and she said you could stay with me! You can be a Grandfather to my children and teach them how to ride a horse and fight with a sword and dance..." excitedly thought Serenity. William shook his head and laid Serenity down on the seat. "Golden girl I think you need to rest we still have a long way to go and you said before you were tired. I'll see to it you are awaken before we reach there okay?" He took a blanket and put it gently on top of her. Luna jumped up and curled against her mistress. "All right William..." yawned Serenity her eyes drifting closed.
Hours passed by until Serenity awakened only to see two dark Blue eyes staring down at her and they were not Williams...
