This is the story of Conrad the Lonely Stump.
Once upon a time in a land called Peach Creek, deep in the woods lived two tall trees. They laughed and played together all the time. One went by the name, Conrad. His friend's name has long since been forgotten, but that is not relevant to the story. Deep in the forest of Peach Creek was a place left untouched by the humans.
Though this wouldn't be so for long. Conrad said to his friend, the one who's name had been forgotten, "Today looks like the perfect day to sing." His friend, the one who's name had been forgotten, agreed, and so they sang. Wonderful melodies came from the mouth hole of their trunks, and it attracted many wildlife critters, but that was not all it attracted. In the Cul-De-Sac of Peach Creek, two adult humans and their young offspring were about to enter the forest. The humans entered through the gate of flowers and shrubs that led into the forest of Peach Creek. The wildlife critters heard their arrival, and scampered away. "Where are you guys going?", Conrad inquired. His friend, the one who's name had been forgotten, saw in the distance two shadows approaching. "Conrad! The humans are coming!", he yelled. Conrad saw them, and started to panic. The humans came close to his friend, the one who's name had been forgotten, and stared him in the eye. The male human said, "This one looks good!" He readied his axe and began to chop down his friend, the one who's name had been forgotten. Conrad cringed at the sighted of his friend's,the one who's name had been forgotten, dismay. His friend, the one who's name had been forgotten, said, "Please do not weep for me, for I am going to be fine." Those were his last words. He then fell to the ground with a force that caused some of Conrad's leaves to fall to the earth below. Sap dripped from Conrad's eye holes. The humans walked away carrying Conrad's friend, the one who's name had been forgotten. The male human turned to Conrad and said, "Would you like to be put out of your misery?" Conrad nodded his trunk. The man swiftly cut down Conrad and left. Conrad thought he was in the next life, but he had survived the betrunking. The humans were out of sight at this point, and he couldn't call the male human back to finish him off. He was left as a lonely stump in the middle of the forest of Peach Creek with no one to talk to. The wildlife critters had all left the forest of Peach Creek behind. Though what became of his friend, the one who's name had been forgotten? He was cut into a small slab of wood. The male human painted a face onto the slab, and gave it to his offspring, who's name was Jonny. The friend who's name had been forgotten was given a new name. Plank. That is the story of Conrad the Lonely Stump. The End.
