Leaves dancing slowly on the sidewalk,

Their only inspiration from the north winds song.

It does not matter where they end up because of their nimble feet,

Nor does it matter how long have they danced.

To anyone they are just leaves blown by the wind,

But for someone like me who searches for truth, I see something entirely different.

They are folk that get joy just from the pluck of a string!

Their feet lightly bouncing and moving across the air with each happy step!

Their smiles growing wide with each marry clap to continue dancing!

Others may think I'm sill or even odd,

But as long as I seek the truth for what is unknown or forgotten,

I will always listen for the tune of the north wind,

Or the feel of the dance!

Forget I will not of the leaves that caught my eye,

That helped me further seek the truth that is before my eyes but hidden behind a mist,

This made me wonder…

What is there beyond human vision?

Perhaps if I just look out of the corner of my eye…

Oh! I can see it know!

They flit and flutter just around my head!

Sweet whispers like honey asking me to dance with them!

I can hear them,

The babbling brook that whispers my name.

And even the howl of the wind through the trees that sounds delighted I've finally found them.

Perhaps, maybe…just maybe,

I can give up reality, for at least one dance,

One song.

Just until the sky turns golden,

Until I must lay my head down onto the mossy earth,

And dream.
