Frank Archer happened to find himself with some free time and decided, instead of going home like he usually did that he would play a nice, quiet game of solitaire. He retrieved the pack of cards he had in his desk and shuffled them before dealing them out in the required fashion for the game. "Heeeeeeey, whatcha doin' sir?" the familiar overconfident voice of one Zolf J Kimbley hummed as the alchemist walked up to his desk and looked down at the cards. "I, unlike you, have some free time."
Kimbley frowned at the blunt reply and watched Archer play for a while before he got an evil idea. Eventually the colonel sighed in irritation and glared at the cards in front of him, he had each ace he needed but the ace of hearts. "Problems sir?" Kimbley hummed and Archer looked at the alchemist, "It seems the last ace I need is missing."
The lieutenant colonel smirked and walked around the desk to stand beside Frank, "Hmm, you mean the ace of hearts?" he asked as he turned around and leaned against the chair slightly, Archer let out an obvious grunt of anger, "Yes," he muttered and Kimbley snickered before looking over his left shoulder slightly and holding up the card. "This ace of hearts?"
Frank looked up before growling, standing abruptly and ripping the card from the smirking alchemist's hold. "Will you quit stealing my heart idiot!" he snapped before shoving Zolf slightly and pointing at the door, "Leave, now." The colonel ordered and all the lieutenant colonel could do was stare at Archer with wide eyes. "Why are you standing there gaping like an idiot? I said leave!"
Kimbley turned around and headed out of the room quickly but when he closed the door behind him he couldn't help but lean back against it. 'Will you quit stealing my heart idiot!' Archer's words echoed in the alchemist's mind and a rare sane smile graced his lips, before he could talk himself out of it he opened the door again. "I thought I said-." Zolf cut the other off by running forward, grabbing Archer's shirt collar, pulling the colonel out of his seat slightly and kissing him.
The lieutenant colonel pulled back and darted from the room but not before shouting a quick reply. "I'll stop stealing your heart when you stop stealing mine!" Archer could only stare after the alchemist in stunned silence before he smirked and sat down again. Who knew that saying something like that accidentally would end in such a way he had thought he could only imagine.
