A/N: I really can't resist; I love writing Doctor/Rose poetry, especially angsty ones! I guess there's just so much left unsaid, and so much to create between them that my mind kind of goes "what the heck?!" Anyway, I hope you guys like this little poem. And reviews are lovely :)

Battle Scars

Rose Tyler, she has her scars

She can't wish them away

They're tattooed on her body

No, her scars are there to stay

They rest upon her upper arms

From rougher hands and tossings

And though the slashes are long yet gone

She'll never forget those crossings

They decorate her lower back

From falling far too much

The purple splotching permanent

Still too sensitive to touch

They live amongst her shoulder blades

Lost between the joints

Received from various crash landings

On many different points

They claim her hands and fingers

Burns from flames, they sting

Left the skin rough and calloused

And now she can't feel thing

And her feet hold the same sights

Her legs and neck as well

Her body all broken and weary

Oh, the stories it could tell

But her deepest scars remain unseen

Invisible inside her heart

Where the Doctor had taken it from her chest

And then torn her love apart
