Author's Note:

Hello everyone, and welcome to my one shot compilation, Secrets of the Clans. Since I have completed my warrior cat miniseries and have no further fanfiction plans for the future, this is where I will be posting any and all future writings in case I am inspired to update my warriors mini-verse. Basically, I will occasionally write one shots about the characters I have created, or characters from the original Warriors series, or random story blurbs, and post them here.

SINCE I am going to be writing backstories and post-stories about my characters, YOU MUST READ ALL FOUR PRECEDING BOOKS I HAVE WRITTEN. They are as follows: Stormstar's Promise, Larkflight's Treachery, Blossompaw's Escape, and Sol's Revenge & Whisper's Path. You won't understand any of the coming one shot stories I will be posting if you don't not read these first. Trust me on this.

HOWEVER. I know many of you will plot your own course and charge ahead regardless of my warning, and will read the one shots without reading the other novellas I've written. So I will briefly summarize each book so you can partly understand what is going on, or at least refresh your memory if you have read the books before.

Major Spoilers Ahead!

Book 1:

Stormstar's Promise opens with the leader of Seaclan, Stormstar, leading a raid on the neighboring clan, Seaclan. The ambitious leader captures the clan, and plans to execute the deputy and leader that night with the help of her deputy and sister, Shadelight. However, when the medicine cat challenges the leader, Stormstar reluctantly orders Shadelight to kill the medicine cat as well. It is taboo to hurt a medicine cat, but Stormstar won't let anyone defy her. But Stormstar recognizes the Seaclan medicine cat right as Shadelight kills her. The medicine cat, Ashbreeze, is Stormstar and Shadelights long lost mother, who they thought died in a storm years ago. The shock and pain of losing her mother kills the leader a second time. As she dies she relives her entire life, leading up to that moment.

As a kit she was born in Seaclan. She was called Silverkit then. A storm hits, and Silverkit, Shadekit, and their mother Ashbreeze are swept out to sea. Ravenclan warriors find the two kits washed ashore, but they presume their mother to be dead. Ravenclan takes in the kits. Silverkit changes her name to Stormkit. She discovers the Ravenclan leader, Crowstar, is her father. He was secretly mates with her mother Ashbreeze. Stormpaw makes a promise to the mother she believes to be dead, that she will do anything to protect Shadepaw.

The other apprentices are Larkpaw, who bullies Shadepaw and has a rivalry with Stormpaw. Birchpaw, Frogpaw, and Blossompaw are the others. Blossompaw is stolen by twolegs early into their training. Stormpaw becomes more cunning as her rivalry with Larkpaw grows. And she is extremely protective of her sister, who struggles with her apprentice training. Shadepaw's mentor, Lilytail, is cruel and bossy to Shadepaw.

The two sisters begin to suspect their mother is not dead. Crowstar told them that Ashbreeze alwasy wanted to be a medicine cat, but gave up that path when she became pregnant and became a warrior. The storm was a blessing. Seaclan believes her kits to be dead so she can become a medicine cat again. Silverpaw and Shadepaw attempt to sneak over to Seaclan to find out if their mother is alive or not. However a Seaclan apprentice sees them, and Silverpaw kills him, starting her decent into darkness.

Lilytail fails Shadepaw during her warrior assessment. Stormpaw, who passed her assessment, gives up her own warrior name to remain an apprentice with her sister due to the promise she made. However she plots her revenge against Lilytail. The sisters corner Lilytail in the woods, and Silverpaw instructs Shadepaw how to fight, helping her sister kill her mentor. They sink the body in the ocean, and spread a rumor through the clan that Lilytail left to become a kittypet, disgracing her memory.

Larkflight is next on their revenge list, for his bullying of Shadepaw. As tensions between Ravenclan and Seaclan rise, the sisters plan to kill Larkflight during a battle between the clans. Shadepaw kills Larkflight. Stormpaws mentor, Willovine, sees this and Stormpaw kills her mentor as sisters receive their warriror names for 'fighting valiantly' in the battle. Shadelight and Stormheart are their names.

Now Stormheart sets her sights on becoming leader of Ravenclan. Her and Shadelight will need to mentor apprentices if Stormheart can become deputy, but there is only one kit, Honeykit. When Honeykits mother dies in childbirth, the sisters travel to twoleg place to find a nursing queen to save Honeykits life. They find a nursing queen, Scarlet, and her kit Felicity. Scarlet and Felciity join the clan as Scarletpool and Autumnpaw. Now both sisters are granted apprentices, which they mentor, and they are named Honeydawn and Autumnpath when they become warriors.

Crowstar begins suffering from Greencough, and he is on his last life. In order for Stormheart to become deputy she needs to get Pebblestep, the current deputy, out of the picture. Pebblestep suspects Stormheart of plotting and has her own plans.

When Scarletpool unexpectedly turns up dead, Stormheart pins the murder on Pebblestep, who is banished from the clan. Crowstar names Stormheart as the new deputy and shortly thereafter dies from sickness. Stormheart discovers Shadelight was the one who really killed Scarletpool.

Stormheart goes to the glowing cave to receives her nine lives. Starclan accepts her as leader of Ravenclan despite her crimes, but they only grant her six lives instead of nine. She loses three lives for the three lives she stole (the seaclan apprentice, Willowvine, and lilytail). They do not take away a life for Larkflight, since Shadepaw is the one who killed him.

Stormstar is now in Starclan. She reminiscences about how she lost each of her six lives, and how she lost her final life due to a broken heart after Shadelight killed their long lost mother, who had been alive in Seaclan afterall.

But then the ancient cat Rock reveals what is really going on. Stormstar isn't real. She is only a potential path that Silverkit can chose. Rock is showing Silverkit she can be a rgeat leader or a terrible villain. Stormstar never existed at all, she was only a potential reality for Silverkit. Stormstar begins to fade, and Rock tells her why he is showing Silverkit the future she must not choose.

Stomstar (Silverkit) is getting a second chance because she kept the promise she made. She protected Shadelight. And in turn Shadelight killed Larkflight, who was secretly plotting to overthrow the clans. Stormstar inadvertently saved all three clans by protecting her sister.

Silverkit awakens on the Ravenclan beach after the flood, and relives her entire life with honor this time. She befriends Larkpaw instead of making a rival of him, and her becomes Shadepaws friend as well. Some things Silverpaw cannot change. Blossompaw is still stolen, Honeykits mother still dies and she must find Scarletpool. But this time Scarletpool isn't killed by Shadelight. Silverstorm becomes deputy, this time through accomplishments instead of plotting, and in turn receives her nine lives. Her final life is given by her alternate self, Stormstar, a life for promises.

Book 2:

This tells the story of Larkflight. In Stormstar's timeline, Larkflight was evil and almost destroyed all three clans. But Silverstar's timeline stopped that from happening since she chose a different path and kept Larklfight from being evil. What would have happened had she not befriended him, was that he was going to ally with a rogue called Sol in Cedarclan to overthrow the forest.

However Silverstar prevented any of that from happening by choosing the correct path in life. And instead of allying with Sol and Cedarclan, Larkflight becomes Shadelight's mate.

Book 3:

This tells the story of what happened to the Ravenclan apprentice, Blossompaw, after she was stolen by twolegs. She is brought to an animal testing facility where she meets a slew of other unfortunate animals that have been captured, and they are subject to cruel experiments. Blossompaw finds herself as the support system of the group and she entertains them with stories of the clans. She develops a close friendship with a dog named Chance.

The animals stage their escape, and after a few unsuccessful attempts, they get out. They head to a nearby forest and settle down as a pack. But Blossompaw is plagued with dreams of her father and the leader of an ancient clan called Ashclan that was destroyed eons ago. She has been chosen to rebuild the clan. She must leave the pack behind, severing her friendship with Chance, and begin her mission to rebuild Ashclan.

She heads into twoleg place and meets Whisper (a secretive and wise cat), as well as brother and sister Flint and Shiver. The siblings know of the testing facility, many of their friends had been stolen from twoleg place and killed at the facility. They agree to help Blossompaw with her mission, if she agrees to help them destroy the facility. They go back to the building and Blossompaw clogs the furnace used to cremate the dead animals, burning the building down.

Blossompaw held up her end of the deal, but Flint and Shiver back out on helping her rebuild Ashclan. She still heads into the city on her own, undeterred, but quickly encounters one of the two bosses of the city. A tom cat named Shane. She is rescued in the nick of time by Chance. Chance went into the city looking for his daughter Via, who he was separated from years ago, but instead finds Blossompaw. He decides to stick with her, and they make up. They discover Shane captured Flint and Shiver and decide to rescue them. The group escapes and flees the city into a forest heading towards the ocean. Blossompaw has now made a very powerful enemy of Shane.

Whisper and another cat from the testing facility, Sylvester, catch up with the group. They find the last descendant of Ashclan in a small abandoned twoleg nest overlooking the ocean. Blossompaw tells them of her mission to rebuild the clan they are heritage too, and they strike a deal. She has one moon to treat them like a clan, and teach them the warrior ways. If, at the end of the moon, they decide they don't want to be a clan, then Blossompaw must leave the forest.

As Blossompaw trains the last descendants of Ashclan she encounters new cats which join the newly forming clan. She also is plagued with prophetic dreams, warning her of dangers lurking. She recieves ehr warrior name, Blossomfang. A cat who joined the clan, Zilla, changes her name to Echo. She attempts to kill Blossomfang but is chased away by Ashclan. She begins working with one of the city bosses, Shane, to defeat Ashclan.

In a great final battle two sides emerge: Shane and his city cats with Echo. Against Ashclan which has sided with Niko and her city cats, with additional help from the pack of animals that survived the testing place with Blossomfang. Blossomfang's side wins and Echo is killed. Blossomfang becomes Blossomstar.

Book 4:

This is the backstory of the infamous Sol from the third installment of the warrior series: Power of Three. As well as the backstory of Whisperheart, the medicine cat of Ashclab. And the backstory of Echo, the mysterious newcomer who tried to destroy Ashclan. All three were siblings. They grew up together in twoleg place, Echo hated Sol with a passion and constantly bullied him. Sol, who is a kittypet, helps Leafstar of Skyclan escape back to her clan after she was stolen by twolegs. Sol decides to join Skyclan to hopefully find acceptance. However he struggles as a warrior and begins looking for ways to cheat to get recognition. After endangering Leafstar's kits he is banished from the clan.

Sol returns to his siblings and Echo cruelly taunts him for failing at warrior life. The three are near the river in the gorge and Echo falls into the river. Whisper is too far away to do anything, and Sol lets Echo drown. He lies to Whisper and says he tried to help her, but was unable to. Whisper chooses to believe that Sol didn't intend to harm Echo, but he doubts this.

The brothers journey away from the area and look to start a new life. As they try to cross a mountain range they encounter the Tribe of Rushing Water. Stoneteller likes Whisper and shows him herbs and healing methods, but he is wary of Sol and believes him to be part of a prophecy that he will bring doom to the Tribe. This ends of being true when Sol accidentally leads Sharptooth, the mountain lion, to the Tribe. The brothers escape the mountains.

Sol begins seeing Echo's ghost and is haunted by it. He starts becoming paranoid. As they leave the mountains they find Midnight the Badger. They befriend the badger and she shows them how to read the stars, soon they are able to see glimpses of the future. Sol sees a vision of the Eclipse. The brothers leave midnight and Sol begins a quest for power. He thinks that with his ability to see the future he can become a strong leader.

As they continue their journey they stumble upon Cedarclan, Ravenclan, and Seaclan. (This is when the vents of Stormstar's Promise/Larkflight's Treachery takes place). Sol begins trying to turn the Cedarclan warriors against their leader, and Whisper begins to doubt his brothers innocence. They are slowly torn apart. Sol stages a failed mutiny and is driven from Cedarclan. Whisper stays behind, finding he belongs with the clan and he falls in love with the deputy of the clan, Ginegrfern.

Sol hides in the clans territory and convinces an apprentice, Jaypaw, to help him regain the trust of the clan. Jaypaw convinces several warriors to believe in Sol again, and another attack is staged. Whisper thwarts his brothers plan and Sol is defeated once again. In the ensuing fight Jaypaw (now Jaysong) is killed, and his brother Rainfur flees to save his life. Sol flees as well, leaving the three clans far behind. Whisper also decides to leave, knowing no one will trust him after Sol's quest for power leaves the clan ravaged. He bids Ginegrfern goodbye.

Echo's ghost visits Sol, and she strikes a deal with him. She will place a curse on Whisper, causing him to age faster and faster until he dies, if Sol can destroy a group of four clans by the lake. If Sol fails in his mission, the curse will switch. Sol is angry at his brother for abandoning him, and so he makes the deal. He goes to the four lake clans: Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Windclan, and Riverclan, and attempts to stir up unrest to destroy them. He uses the eclipse as a tool to make the clans believe he is powerful and he manages to turn Shadowclan away from Starclan. However his plans are once again thwarted and he is driven away. He is determined not to fail and he returns, this time using the underground tunnels to try and convince Windclan to attack Thunderclan. He fails in this task and runs off. Echo switches the curse, and Sol begins to age.

Whisper, meanwhile, has suffered from the effects of the curse. He settles in twoleg place near a crumbling twoleg den along with a few other cats. He meets two younger cats, Flint and Shiver, and befriends them. Flint and Shiver discover Blossompaw, who has just recently escaped from the testing facility. (Timeline is caught up with Blossompaw's Escape).

As Blossompaw rebuilds Ashclan, Whisper volunteers to be the medicine cat, since he has knowledge given to him by Stoneteller. All seems well. Then a cat named Zilla joins Ashclan. Zilla has been possessed by Echo's spirit, and works to sabotage the clan. The clan drives her away, and she goes to the city to recruit cats to destroy Ashclan. A great battle ensues, with Ashclan reigning victorious.

However, Whisper (Now Whisperheart) is troubled. He knows Echo will never leave him be, and she is more powerful than he thought. He leaves the clan to go find Sol and Echo's ghost so he can put an end to the torment.

In a finale of events the siblings meet once again in the underground caverns by the lake clans. This is the same time when the Dark Forest cats are waging war against the lake clans. It is a time when spirits are able to touch the physical world. It will be the only time they are able to actually kill Echo's ghost. Sol defeats Echo, saving WHisper's life an ending the curse.

An ancient cat called Rock reveals himself. He reveals the truth. There was a prophecy of light, dark, and death. Whisper was the light, Sol was the darkness, and Echo was death. All three had to come together so that the Dark Forest warriors could enter the physical realm once more. This was necessary to put an end to the anger harbored by the Dark Forest warriors for eons. There needed to be a battle between the living and the dead to settle things once and for all. Sol, Echo, and Whisper were just pawns to make the prophecy real.

Whisperheart returns to Ashclan to serve as their medicine cat. Sol remains in the underground tunnels, to act as a guide for any cats who become lost in the dark tunnels. The brothers agree they might never see each other again, and that is probably for the best, but they forgive each other all the same.
