I stood in front of the mirror that hung above my dresser and stared at my reflection.
My hair was undeniably perfect. My eyes were a deep sea green. My lips, a plump apple red. The only fault showing was a small scratch on my right cheek and a small bruise on my right arm. I patted the scratch gently with a moist clothe.
I was damn near the fairest of them all and yet this had to happen to me.
I placed the clothe down on the dress. My hands shook slightly as they curled into a tight fist.
This wasn't normal behavior for me but the situation at hand was even more abnormal for someone like me.
My boyfriend had cheated on me. Well, in effect, the girl had kissed him but from what I had seen, he had kissed her back. I guess that's what I get for taking some sort of interest in an athlete. Hmph...Pro-Benders.
Yesterday the Equalist did as they said and attacked the Pro-Bending Arena. My father was already alerted and had us sit in seats closets to the exit in a top box.
Actually , technically EVERYONE as alerted by Amon over the radio. If the game was not canceled, then he would retaliate. And tyically the game was NOT cancelled just as Amon had hoped for and planned.
I plopped myself down lazily on my bed and sighed. It had been almost three weeks since Korra and Makos kiss and Mako hadn't said a word to me about it. It hurt. And a fire in my chest burned when ever I thought about it.
"Relax Asami," I attempted to calm myself as I got up and went to my closet. I hung up my clothes and got a glance of my new Equalist Uniform.
"It'll be all over soon."
