He felt so empty. Everything was quiet. He reached out with his thoughts,

wanting to feel the silent reassurance of the thoughts that brushed against

his. Nothing. It felt so infuriating.

But then, he should have known. He should have stopped looking for

reassurance years ago. But it had always been there. He had always been

there. That rich, deep baritone voice had always sent a shiver of pleasure up

his spine. But he was gone. Returned to his rightful place.

Slowly, he groped into that corner of his mind that had housed his Yami.

Empty. He felt the urge to scream. He stopped, knowing that the pain of his

mind would only make him more ill that he already was.

Life had fallen apart after Yami had left. Honda, Anzu, Otogi, Grandpa, and

Rebecca had all gotten over Yami's leaving in about a month. They had

continued with life. Seto and Mokuba had been going to America on a

business trip when the engines had failed. The plane crashed in New York.

Seto and Mokuba had died and their bodies had been put in beautiful coffins

and put to rest. Jou had been so devastated by Seto's and Mokuba's death.

He had suspected that Seto and Jou were fond of each other. Jou later

revealed that he and Seto had been in an relationship after dealing with the

Seal of Orichalcos. Jou had later died, having committed suicide.

Honda and Otogi had gotten together shortly after Yami's leaving and were

happy. Anzu had also gotten with someone.

But Yugi had not been able to go on. He did not have the support of his

friends anymore. Three people in his life had died and Yami had gone on to

the afterlife. He had nothing left to live for. He had locked himself in a room

and stayed there for days on end. Grandpa had finally gotten him out after a

month and Yugi started going to college. Yugi completed hiS Phd in only a

year and had started working. Then Grandpa died. Yugi had come out only

for the funeral. He locked himself in his room again and nobody came to get

him. That was his life now. A cold bed and darkness. He did not need to eat.

He didn't need anything.

But now Yugi had finally decided that he needed to start over, despite that

throbbing, searing pain in his heart that told him he couldn't do anything

now that his love had gone.

But his life was going to change. He could not live like this anymore. No more.
