This is just something I came up with very late at night after reading randomly through several increasngly cliched and pathetic fairy tale stories. It was for homework. Ugh! That and I was procrastinating doing assignments. *gulp*. This is kinda supposed to be from the point of view of some sort of tom-boy princess. I didn't have anyone really in mind. I am no girl to sit and sigh,
I'd rather sail under a pitch black sky,
with rolling waves and thunder above,
than watch while you push and poke and shove
I am no girl to noisily cry tears,
I face and overcome all of my fears,
the height of a cliff, a slimy bug,
the whispering dark and your ugly mug
I am no girl to wait for a man,
I want to live as much as I can,
Pampering and preening makes me retch,
Quick! A bucket! Run! Go fetch
I am no girl to wait for that day,
when someone will come and whisk me away,
I rather go under my own steam,
If only to here you yell and scream,
I am no girl to long for a palace,
I have often been accused of being a bit callous,
they say a polite comment would not go amiss,
I just ask them "where can I piss?"
I am no girl to want dresses and shoes,
I rather have something that I can use,
I good sword, some solid boots,
the trusty advice of a wobbly, old coot
So run pretty princesses,
Run away from me,
I bear the truth and it stings like a bee
I hold up a mirror to show you your life,
every fault, every flaw, every piece of strife,
you can block your ears and run away,
but it is not me that has lost at the end of the day
