Unseen- Pretty much means moments that could have happened but we just haven't seen them. I wrote this as if it is something that happened between Damon & Rose while she was alive. Enjoy!
Damon & Rose
"Not sleeping yet?" I whisper. She smiles as she turns her head to look at me.
"How could I sleep with all this cuddling and such?" I chuckle and pull her closer. We are body to body and I can feel her against me. Her soft skin against my chest and legs.
"You can sleep with it easily." I breathe, putting kisses on her neck.
"Damon, come on." She rolls over and pins me down. She's on top of me, but she leans down and rests her head on my chest. "I want to go outside. I want to feel the sun." I smirk and stroke her hair.
"I know a witch. She won't do me any favors but maybe if Elena gets to know you better… we can have some strings pulled." She looks up at me. Her hope is unparalleled by anything I had seen in decades.
"You have no idea how much I miss it." She kisses my neck and the tip of her tongue runs over me in a way that gives me chills.
"I love that little thing you do with your tongue. Know that?" She laughs and I pin her, kissing her as gently as I can. If Rose is anything, she's gentle.
"What's your secret, Damon?" She says so soft when I let up. "You play bad guy really well. So well almost everyone's fooled. So what is it you try so hard to hide?" I think. I look at her. She knows me more than I like but she accepts me. She understands me. She is the only one besides my brother who hasn't casted me out and she has a way better track record.
"Not hiding anything, Rose." She rolls her eyes.
"There it is… again. Be honest with me." She takes my hand and strokes my fingers lightly, waiting for my answer.
"I changed. When I became a Vampire… my entire reason for wanting it was for Katherine. I wanted her more than anything. I needed her, like air. My love for her filled me up, like blood." She shifts and gives me all of her attention. "I was met with 165 years of longing to be with her again. No one else existed. No one else compared." She lays her head down on my bare chest again.
"Then you met Elena." She murmurs.
"Mmhm. Then I met you." She lifts her head to look at me again, her face puzzled.
"But I don't matter they way they do. I don't have a place in your life like they do." I sigh.
"You still matter... and believe me, that isn't a bad thing." She smiles, but there is a bit of sadness inside.
"You aren't as bad as you think you are. People just don't take the time to understand you. It's an unfortunate thing." I roll my eyes.
"Enough with all this. Let's just… be." She smiles.
"Be. Together." She says. I nod and kiss her again. She runs her fingers up through my hair and takes hold of me. I hold her tighter, closer to me. The only woman who didn't choose my brother over me. The only woman I could have all to myself. The only woman I wanted to be holding right now. The kissing becomes more intense and she looks up at me with those eyes. Then gives me a hesitant little smile.
"You'll feel the sun again if I have anything to do with it." She grins.
"You promise?" She asks, her hand moving from my hair, to stroke my face. I turn my head and give her palm a kiss.
"I promise."
