By: xSTARxSHiNEBABY

Summary: Blair works out the differences between like and love. Blair/Chuck one shot with hints of Blair/Nate. Enjoy!

A/N: This has been a thought I had in my mind since forever! Based off of a challenge that I thought of while watching 10 Things I Hate About You. To be specific, itʻs the part where Bianca is like "I like my skechers shoes but I love my prada backpack" Great movie. :) Enjoy the story, please review!

Blair knew the difference between like and love from a very young age.

At age six, she liked the Godiva chocolates that Chuck Bass had left in her cubby for valentines day. She found it there when she got to school, it was complete with a little note as well. Handwritten. Blair bragged that she had a secret admirer, and all the other girls were jealous. Blair ignored Chuck as he glared at her from across the playground that day. But Blair loved the Valentineʻs Day Hallmark card that Nate had given her a day late. She liked to think that Nate had spent a very long time picking it out, even though the little note that said "To Blair, With Love" was clearly written in Mrs. Archibaldʻs neat handwriting. The only evidence that Nate had even seen the card was a smeared and messy "Love, Nate" in the bottom corner.

At 13, she liked the pink Chanel ballet flats that Chuck had given her for her birthday, but she loved the Manolo Blahnik clog heels Nate had gotten her.

"The pink matches your favorite dress," Chuck explained.

But Blair didnʻt care, she was too busy really kissing Nate Archibald for the first time. Later, when she asked Nate how he had thought of such a special gift, he said, "Um, I donʻt know. My mom picked them out."

But Blair overlooked that, thinking that he was such a sweet boy for hanging out and shopping with his mom.

At 17, Blair wasnʻt so sure what she liked and what she loved anymore. She was almost positive that she loved Nate. She wouldnʻt be waiting out on the balcony, at her own stupid party, for him if she didnʻt. But she was beginning to feel butterflies for Chuck.

By 17, she was sick of receiving gifts from Nateʻs mom instead of Nate. At 17, Blair turned down Nateʻs motherʻs ring, the one thing she had always wanted and always expected. And she accepted the necklace from Chuck, something sheʻd never expect in a million years.

She loved that Chuck had picked out such a perfect gift for her. She loved that Chuck had always been there for her when Nate hadnʻt.

At six, Blair really had loved the Godiva chocolates and note. Chuckʻs note was neat compared to Nateʻs scrawled message, like he had been trying. At 13, she had loved the pink Ballet flats, she wore them all the time around her house and they did match her pink dress perfectly. At 17, she loved the necklace Chuck had given her and she loved even more what he said as he put it on her "Something this beautiful needs to be worn by someone worthy of itʻs beauty" At 18, Blair finally knew the difference between like and love.

Blair liked Nate, as a friend, but she loved Chuck Bass. Always have, always will
