—Years later—

From the diary of Josh Newman,

It's been years since our final battle. I left, became Marethyu. I've been keeping tabs on most elders. Many of them I was friends with are fine. The universe is basically in my head. How have they been doing? The Flamels are doing fine. Niten, and Aoife got married. Virginia is now a queen of the new world, it seems Aten chose to retire. Billy is with Sophie. Niccolo, is doing bussines. Scathach is still single, and Saint Germain, and Joan are doing fine. Sophie stayed with Aunt Agnes. I can't remember my true age, the time travelling has really taken a toll on me. We haven't really seen each other much. I miss them, I am Marethyu. Death, it was my destiny. I believe it's time to find love again I. Though I am non-living, and I have a heart that does not beat. I have always loved Virginia. I'll also make sure to visit my friends soon.

Exausted from days of social service, Virginia Dare looked over her kingdom from the palace. She had worked hard to guide the humans, she had brought equality, what she always wanted, she felt empty. She began to think about her life, the bad and good she has done. Romance, her childhood. Who was Marethyu? she asked, the man who took care of her for a while, who she later saw on Danu Talis.

Beautiful isn't it?, she heard a voice beside her.

One of my favorite spots in the palace, she replied turning to see who it was.

Long time no see Virginia Dare, the tall, cloaked man spoke.

Yes... It has been a while. Who are you?, I think I should know as you took care of me.

Oh yes Virginia, I am familiar in many different ways, and I loved you once.

Marethyu took of the cloak, revieling jeans, a faded blue shirt, blue eyes, and blonde hair.

Recognize me now? he asked

Josh..., it was you all along. You know, I loved you too as a child. You were one of the people that cared about me.

Marethyu spread out his arms, and Virginia ran in and hugged him. Josh whispered, and I still do love you. Virginia gave him a kiss on the cheek, and said. Come to the throne room, we have much to catch up on.

Marethyu stopped for a bit, well not much I keep tabs on you. I must say, you've done an excellent job as a queen. He kneeled, your highness. He then kissed her hand.

Virginia blushed, flattery won't get you anywhere dear.

So they caught up for a while, Josh told her of all the adventures he went on. They laughed, smiled, and cried. Later Virginia asked, why don't you stay with me? Become king, and live happily here?

Josh replied, I am death. I cannot stay, it is my destiny.

Virginia retorted, than why can't I come with you?

Josh simply answered, listen Virginia. I love you, but who would watch over the people? We could compromise, I could stay with you a bit, and you could go on adventures with me. But you must stick to your new responsibilities, while you are gone, Aten could tend to the place. I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it for a bit... though I am jealous, have you been intimate with him?

Virginia replied, of course not. Honestly I've beenn empty recently. My true goal, helping the people only served as a distraction.

It was late, they were both tired

Virginia told him, well you can sleep with me, she kissed him.

She kissed his forehead, have a nice sleep.
