Early that week he asked me
To the dance that Saturday night
I bought my dress, did my hair and nails
And sat in my window, watching and waiting
But he never came

Mama drove me to the Oaks Emergancy room
Tears blinded my eyes as I searched
He looked me in the eyes, whispering
"I'm so sorry Brie"
