Kuroba and Kudo
Prologue
Shinichi walked around the amusement park with his girlfriend, Ran, on a date. It's been a week since those new kids, Aoko, Kaito, Hakuba, and Akako, transferred to their school and things got interesting.
Akako was giving Ran and Sonoko romance advice in weird ways. She is a strange woman, Shinichi notes, and is always keeping a close eye on that girl. Kaito said she was actually a witch… yeah, right.
Aoko and Kaito, surprisingly, almost looked exactly liked Shinichi and Ran, except for the hair. Ran instantly became best friends with Aoko, and because of her infamous reputation at her old one, Aoko joined the karate team and soon found herself in the ranks of Ran. Kaito, on the other hand, was a junior stage magician, thanks to his dad, and became an instant star. He was usually seen showing tricks to Sonoko. Shinichi is good friends with Kaito, but wrong move, and Shinichi takes out a fish (thanks to Aoko, by the way).
But who really is interesting is Hakuba. Both teen detectives, they became instant best friends and they can be both found chatting about mysteries. Hakuba was raised in London, and Shinichi is always asking him about it, being the Holmes fan he is. But what they really talk about the most is the infamous phantom thief: Kaito Kid.
As Shinichi wondered about Kid, he suddenly saw something strange in an alley. He told Ran to wait a minute, and ran there. When he saw what was going on, he went into shock.
There was Kaito; his hands holding Kaito Kid's outfit with a tear in the cape.
Just like how Kid had gotten one in the last heist.
