Revenge Part 1: An Eye For An Eye
.
Escaping from the enemy
Panicking, running blindly
I don't know where my comrades are
Hopefully not behind me
.
Everyone has been scattered now
No one thinks about the line
Ahead I see a temple spire
Maybe I'll hide in the shrine
.
A plane above. Get down, I think
But my instincts are faster
A moment later I look up
The temple: molten plaster
.
I'm running now, fast as I can
Through forest, dense brush and cove
My speed is making me weary
I stumble upon a grove
.
My body aches, my legs are numb
So I lay down to rest
This cove is perfectly hidden
Of my chances, this is best
.
I spot movement and raise my gun
How is it still in my hands?
Down the sights I spot a lone scout
On his arm: the German bands
.
The crack of gunfire splits the night
And down goes the German scout
I rush over and raid his pack
So that I won't go without
.
.
Finally I lay down to sleep
I'm alone, no one hears me weep
.
The blood which the ground is now stained
The scout has partially attained
