Disclaimer: I don't own FOP, but Sparky's song is all mine.
"Thanks for the pizza, ice cream, and ride home from school today, Sparky. I really appreciate it." Timmy told his adorable doggy companion cheerfully as they both laid back on his bed after a long day of after school fun.
Sparky grinned while spinning the car keys around his finger. "No problem, Timothy. I completely understand you've been feeling rather sad lately about your fairies leaving forever. So I've decided to take you out in my van for some pizza and an ice cream sundae in order to help cheer you up. I don't like seeing my best friend so crestfallen."
Timmy lowered his comic book he'd been reading down a little, and scratched at one of Sparky's floppy orange ears. Sparky panting and wagging his wand like tail with pure happiness.
"I know I've said it before, but you truly are the best pet and friend I ever had. Always know how to put a smile on my face when I'm feeling down."
"Aww, you're the best owner and friend I ever had! Also, I love hearing you say those words, because I sure am the best pet ever. Even if I did bury the house while I was digging one night, along with chewing up the living room furniture." Sparky gave him a playful lick on his right cheek after putting away his car keys.
"Okay, I've done plenty more bad things. Like when I didn't bother rescuing you from that well sooner, or taking the only parachute I found. Heh, my bad. But I promise I will try harder to be a good doggy, Timmy."
"I'm glad to hear that, Sparky. Also, I forgive you. After all, it's all apart of being a fairy dog," Timmy told him as he gave Sparky a fist bump.
Timmy always made him so happy, and Sparky loved him so much with all his heart and soul. There was no other magnificent young boy in the known universe that would make such a great friend. Too bad his no good evil counterpart Anti-Sparky would never experience this lovely friendship with that little trouble maker Foop. Ah well, his loss.
"Hey, I wrote you a little song from the heart. Wanna hear it? You know, the one that I originally planned on singing before the Dimmsdale dam in your backyard had burst. Plus, I can finally use my new guitar I got after losing my old one in the flood."
Timmy wrapped one arm around Sparky with a smile.
"Of course!"
Sparky smiled back at Timmy. He grabbed his new little guitar, and began strumming the strings with one paw, while holding the instrument with the other.
"This song goes out to my new best friend, who really means the world to me." He spoke, pretending as if he were on stage in front of a huge audience at a concert. Once he cleared his throat, he started singing.
"And a one, and a two, and a three..."
I love Timmy Turner,
he's the best pet owner and friend in the whole world,
I love him more than chasing squirrels...SQUIRREL! Tennis balls, and my own tail,
Seeing how strong and special our friendship is, it just makes me wanna wail,
There will never be another fantastic person like him,
He's the guy who helped save me from a flood since I couldn't swim,
Timmy laughed at Sparky's lyrics while he continued listening to his best friend's song. Yes, Sparky always knew how to make him smile. He truly was the best dog ever. Okay, so he could be quite the handful at times when it came to his doggy nature. But he promised he'd do a much better job protecting Timmy from danger, instead of the complete opposite.
Sparky also knew his bravery still needed some big improvement, but he was willing to try for Timmy. No fluffy bunnies or kittens would scare him ever again. He'd be the best guard dog on the block, protecting the Turners from intruders. Of course, that won't stop him from being Timmy's lovable and loyal best friend. Or from causing any mischief every now and then.
A true brave hero, who has a very kind heart,
If anyone dares hurting my dear boy, I'll tear them apart,
"Timmy's so awesome, like monster trucks and action movies combined,
And I'll always love my wonderful owner until the end of time,
More sweeter then a chocolate shake,
he hopes icky Vicky would just get eaten by a poisonous snake,
And then we would celebrate with a piece of some yummy vanilla cake,
Oh yeah, no more icky Vicky!
So Timmy, that's the end of my song,
But there's just one more thing I've gonna say,
Thanks so much for adopting me into your family, and making my loneliness forever fade away,
Timmy smiled, wiping away the tears before giving Sparky a round of applause. "Bravo! Sparky, that was outstanding! I gotta say, you've got some real talent. You should really consider making it into an album. Heck, I'd listen to it all the time when we go out driving together."
Sparky took a bow with a little smile. "Aww, shucks. You really like my little song I made, Timmy? I figured it would help chase the pain of losing Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof forever away. Besides, mine's much better then Cosmo's silly tractor song you've been telling me about. Still, I'm really gonna miss that guy, Wanda, and Poof."
His beloved owner nodded with a slight chuckle, pulling Sparky in for a nice long cuddle. To Timmy, Sparky was a far more special dog then Vicky's evil mutt, or any other ordinary pooch really.
No other dog could fly, grant wishes, play the guitar, drive, carpet floors, or bake some delicious treats using their very own special recipes. Heck, they couldn't even speak fluent English! There was only one dog he knew that could do the impossible. Sparky was certainly one of a kind.
"Yeah, same here. Cosmo was such a terrible song writer, but he was still a lovable moron who sure knew how to brighten anyone's day with his stupidity. And I loved your song very much, just like I love you. Thanks. You're truly the best friend I could ever have."
Sparky gently wrapped his own loving arms around his sweet older boy. He closed his eyes, tears of happiness now flowing down his fuzzy cheeks. His tail wagged madly with excitement and love. After all of these years of rejection and loneliness his former owners left behind, he'd finally found his forever home.
"I love you too, Timmy. There will never be another fantastic person like you. Cosmo and Wanda may no longer be able to care for you, but they'll always be in your heart forever and ever. I promised them that I'll take really good care of you, and that's a promise I'm gonna keep."
The little fairy dog smiled and returned the hug.
"If that jar-head ever tries erasing your memory again of your fairy family, then I'll bite him. He doesn't know I secretly helped you remember who they were just by simply eating my delicious, magical Spark-Tarts. I still can't believe your weird dad ate like a million of those things. I mean, dude, how the heck is that even possible?!" He exclaimed, clearly flabbergasted by Timmy's weird father and his stupidity.
Timmy laughed again as he carefully hugged Sparky a little more. Knowing he would be with him for all eternity made him the happiest guy on the planet. Sparky may be a hyperactive, silly, and rather mischievous pup, but Timmy still loved him dearly no matter what. This was the beginning of a new magical and beautiful friendship.
"You're right, bud. At least I still have my amazing, loyal canine companion to have awesome new adventures with. Jorgen can't break the special bond between a boy and his dog."
AN: Well, I figured that I should finally write a small sequel to my story "Remember When?" that shows Timmy's life after his fairies with Sparky included of course. It's just sad that he never got a proper send off (he wasn't even mentioned in the tenth season at all, not even by Timmy!), but oh well. This will be his happy ending. After all, his one true place is with his boy.
As for Chloe I simply didn't feel like mentioning or adding her into this story, but I'd say she probably went on to do something with show biz as that's clearly her thing. So, yeah, whatever. Anyway, I wanna give a special thanks to my good pal Sparky Fanboy (BeastlyBat 93) for all the love and support he's given me for my FOP stories he's reviewed, favorite, and followed. He's such an awesome person and writes the cutest Sparky/Timmy friendship stories for sure. Be sure to check them out!
I know this story's rather short, but it's pretty much like a follow up to the original. Unfortunately, this one will most likely be the FINAL FOP story that I ever write. I don't think I'll even consider writing anymore as I don't wanna overdue it. And I wanna focus more on my drawing skills, along with other shows and movies that I like as well. So I do hope this songfic of mine was at least a little enjoyable for you guys. Alright, I guess that's all I have to say. Later! :)
