DISCLAIMER:
Everything and anything Lord of the Rings related belongs to the biggest genius that ever lived, J.R.R Tolkien. Not me.WHAT GETS ME THROUGH
Walking silently through barren lands full of waste
Where wind pierces flesh and the air has a bitter taste
I just want to lay down and curl up into a ball
I am so tired, so weary and so sick of it all
Giving up in defeat seems like the best thing to do
But there is a special person who helps me get through
On those dark, dreary days full of doom and despair
When the pain and the hurt seem too much to bear
You stand by my side and take hold of my hand
Though I scream and I cry, you continue to stand
Others would get angry or give up and run away
Instead you promise me that by my side you will stay
When water's running out or there's not much lembas bread
You always put me first and make sure that I am fed
If I am feeling sleepy and I need to rest my head
You always let me have a nap though you want to go to bed
You put my need's first but I never hear you complain
I only hope that I am worth all this trouble and this pain
When my dreams are dark and frightful and chill me to the bone
You are always by my side and never leave me all alone
You hold my hand in yours until the nightmares pass and fade
And when I wake up you assure me that I need not be afraid
Though I have seen you scared and I have seen you shake
You have kept it all to yourself purely for my sake
When I need someone to talk to or am feeling rather depressed
You tell me to stop worrying and to stop being so stressed
My heart is comforted when you point to the stars in the sky
When you tell me that some things in Middle-Earth can never die
No matter how hard life gets, you always know what to say
And sometimes you even help me chase the shadows away
I do not know if you realise how much you mean to me
Or if you realise that I'll be grateful to you for eternity
Your patience, your strength and above all your loyalty
I don't think you'll ever know how much they mean to me
When tears fall, when anger rages, when darkness has no end
I know that I'll be helped through them all by my special friend
AUTHOR'S NOTE: So what did everyone think? I really love writing LOTR poetry and this time Frodo and Sam's beautiful friendship inspired me. Send me a review and tell me what you think, whether you liked it or loathed it. Greatly appreciated. Cheers :)
