My Favourite Snow Cone!

It was seemingly just another normal day when Teddy and his best friend Danny walked down from the Gryffindor tower to the great hall in pursuit of breakfast. As they proceeded down the many staircases they started to notice that there was something unsettling about the atmosphere. Now if they were first years this wouldn't be quite as odd because Hogwarts does take some getting use to.

But they weren't first years, they were very clever third years… thank you very much, and there should be absolutely no reason why walking around Hogwarts should be unsettling. After awhile Teddy started to notice some very peculiar things such as the pink heart shaped confetti that kept falling from random patches of the ceilings, and that everywhere they looked all the girls who were generally quite normal seem to want to burst into giggles as soon as anyone made eye contact with them. It was quite off-putting.

Half way through breakfast which included heart shapes toast, the reason for the sudden madness was revealed. It was Valentine's Day. What was worse was that the tradition of sending a singing Valentine to the object of one's affection did not leave the school when Lockhart did. So it came to pass that the entire day, a majority of the boys were sneaking around trying to avoid singing Valentines while a majority of the girls spent a large part of their time writing love songs.

By lunch time Teddy was very proud of himself. He had managed to duck at least two singing Valentines and a shower of pink confetti. With a great feeling of accomplishment Teddy was about to turn into the fifth floor corridor when out of nowhere something flew at him and knocked him to the ground. That something was a very determined looking, green, elf wearing pink tutu and holding in his hands a pink role of parchment. Panic started to rise in Teddy as the elf started singing…

His eyes sparkle like a new dawn

His hair is the colour of my favourite snow cone

He'll like me too

If it's the last thing I do

Teddy's the cutest boy in the whole school

Oh the horror… the mortification… he'll never hear the end of it. Danny was currently on the floor rolling with laughter… some friend! Teddy walked as fast as he could away from the scene of the crime, red from the tips of his hair to his feet.

Meanwhile Victoire was being congratulated by her friends on a song well written and executed. After all it was quite impressive for a first year!

The next day, while Harry Potter was sitting at the breakfast table with his wife, reading his morning mail he happened upon a curious letter form an old friend Neville (AKA Professor Longbottom). The letter described in perfect detail a certain Valentine's Day incident that had Harry reduced to tears from laughter. When he had composed himself, he turned to a very interested Ginny and said, "Dear, I think it would best if you stopped giving Victoire anymore love advice, she's making poor Teddy miserable!"
