The Demise of Mr

The Demise of Mr. Riddle

Part One: No One Lives Forever

Prologue: Happy Birthday

By Rose Lei

Disclaimer: Story is based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

In the Alidah Kingdom, an untraceable place located in the Grindall Mountains, said to be in France somewhere, Christopher and Rose Prewett, renowned wizard and witch in their day, had a baby girl.

A beautiful baby girl she was, too. Born on May 10 with sunshine blonde curls and big, almond shaped sparkling blue eyes. A giggly baby she was, once she was old enough to giggle anyway. She charmed everyone into playing with her, and when she smiled at you your day just brightened.

Christopher and Rose were extremely proud of their baby. Seraliyah Rose, they named her, after her mother, who she looked just like.

They were extremely happy too. Not one thing could spoil their happiness…except Lord Voldemort…and destroy it he did.

For eleven years he had cast their world into terror and fear. Fear of losing their families to the most brutal of torture, fear of losing the wizarding world to the evilest of beings.

The fear of just saying the Dark Lord's name.

There were few that could stand up to Voldemort. And every one of those people, who did, died.

Christopher and Rose Prewett were among the few who could.

The Prewetts tried to maintain a semi-peaceful life with their daughter. They could not always be there with her though, and a lot of times she was left with her Grandmother, or her Aunt.

But on May 10th, they were. Celebrating their beautiful daughter's first birthday. Families were in attendance. All of the Prewetts closest friends…there weren't that many people you could trust in those days.

It was under very tight security, the Prewett household. Voldemort's main enemy's all together in one place, however short the time.

But despite those circumstances, an uninvited guest still arrived, in the form of a dark cloak, pale skin, and red eyes.

Christopher and Rose, who were holding the baby together, froze. The whole room seemed to freeze in terror, for about half a second.

The dark cloaked figure let out a high pitched laugh and yelled two words, his wand pointed directly at the tiny Seraliyah Prewett.

A flash of green light filled the room, and two heartbroken screams echoed through the night.

A/N: I know it was kind of boring, but please review anyway. It's just the prologue so it's gets better (hopefully) in the actual story.
