PREVIEW
"Fang, the food is in the refrigerator; heat it up. We'll see you later," my mother said as she covered the speaker of the phone she was talking on.
I nodded, hiding my emotions from both my parents. No one in this world seemed to truly love me, so that was my goal: find someone who would love me unconditionally.
"Max, honey, we can't give any more food to Angel. You know we can't afford it," my mother said, sighing.
I nodded; of course I knew. We had not had enough food for the past ten years. I slipped Angel my turnips, giving her a weak smile.
She quickly slipped them back. We had gone through the same routine since Angel was ten. I gave her my food, she gave it back.
I ruffled her blonde hair and continued eating.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Max hissed. "Do you think you can just barge in here, and make me lose my job? You couldn't even begin to comprehend how much I need this job!"
Fang smirked, not feeling any sympathy whatsoever towards the furious girl. "You should have thought of that before you shoved ice cream on my girlfriend's head."
Max bit her lip to prevent the tears. "You know what? You will never know how much you just made me lose, so it's no use explaining it." She promptly turned on her heel and stalked off, leaving Fang staring at her back, with just a tiny bit of regret making its way into his heart.
"I hate you. I've never hated anyone more than I hate you. And that's saying something," Max said.
Fang gave her a pitying smile. "You don't hate me, Max, and you know it. Stop pretending like you do."
"How in the world do you see any evidence that I like you whatsoever?" Max exclaimed.
"Because I know you, and I know that no matter how many times we have fought and will fight, you need me. I know because I'm your only true friend."
"Max, who said love was easy? Love is freaking hard. It's the hardest thing you will probably ever have to do in your entire life. But it's worth working towards; it's worth facing all the problems," Fang yelled.
"Well, you know what? I'm not really to take a blind leap, especially not with you, and I never will be," Max whispered, shutting the door on Fang's face.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
"I was wrong."
"I know."
Okay, so that's just a preview of different sections of what I hope to write about. If anyone likes this, please let me know, so then I'll know it's a worthwhile story to write. :) I did a preview mainly because I saw it on another story, and I thought it was a really good idea, so I wanted to try it myself.
