Disclaimer: Lucas owns starwars, I just play with his universe a little.
It's only short and loosely based round an episode of 'Prey' put into starwars.
Killing the Light.
There was a slight illumination in the room and Kerry dimmed the lights as her eyes hurt from deciphering codes all day. She yawned and was just about to turn of her COM. When it started to beep. Choosing to ignore it, she let down her tied up blue hair and rubbed her temples.
The COMs beeping grew more insistent and irritating. Sighing loudly Kerry decided to just answer it, presuming in would just be her friend.
"Hey Sally," Her tired but cheerful greeting was cut of by harsh words in a supposedly dead language.
"Davre, nico, chell, markee Dubh." The transmission ended straight after those words.
As she heard the message her eyes grew wide with fear but then her body went rigid.
She put her hands to her head and moaned as if overcome by pain.
"Honey, is something wrong?" The concerned voice of her husband asked.
She rose and stood before him, trance like. Her eyes were dull and listless and her face held an expression of nothingness.
Her husband took one look at her and instantly knew something had happened, he reached for his own Com but before he had a chance to react, Kerry pounced.
He put his hand up to shield himself but it was no use. With one swift kick she had knocked him to the floor and took out the blaster she always kept with her. Pointing it at him, she shot him, her face expressionless.
Walking out of the apartment she made her way down the halls and out into the alley. She continued until she reached her pre-programmed destination.
Nobody even gave her a second glance when she entered a building and knocked on one of the offices.
"Come in. " A harsh man said.
He swivelled round on his chair and smiled darkly when she entered. He had known she would return to him one way or another. He had not just let years of training walk away from him and had made sure he would get her back.
She was a woman of nondescript beauty, there appeared to be nothing exceptional about her. When he had first chosen her he had made sure she could fit in anywhere, the second thing was that she had no Jedi ancestry. They, he thought, always had a bad habit of turning against their superiors.
"Welcome back, my child." He spoke. Even though she barely acknowledged him.
With her, he knew, he could start the downfall of both the Empire and the republic.
End
