OK, I know this is way overdue, but so what? See, most of my stories (well actually this one's a poem) were written a while ago, like half a year ago. Though you see, I just registered on Fanfiction.net recently, so, most of my work is old. That's why this is a Season 01 fic and that's why I'm able to post an entire story, even if it has about seven parts, all at once. Everything is already written and done with. So, with that said, here's the first poem from the 01 Digidestined. This one is Tai's, so I hope you like it. I don't have anything to do with Digimon, so read, review and enjoy!

Follow the Leader

Fifteen innocent lives
All relying on me
Putting faith in my choices
As reckless as they may be

I didn't want this position
I didn't volunteer
But it was handed to me
You thought I had no fear

I'm sorry, but you're wrong
All of you are
Yet only Matt sees
That I won't get us far

He challenges my authority
And though I stand fast
I know he's right
My luck won't last

Nothing is planned
I act upon instinct
Never taking precaution
Never stopping to think

And yet you follow
For you still believe
That I will lead us
To goals we'll achieve

But what if I'm wrong
What if one day
My courage fails me
And things don't go my way

Who will you turn to
When I have given up
Leaving you stranded
Alone, you'll be stuck

Because you were all foolish
Matt was the exception
He saw my faults
Knew the deception

Sorry I wasn't strong enough
Couldn't carry all the weight
This fearless leader is gone
Death will be my fate

But until that day comes
I'll fight to the core
Blindly pulling you along
Until I can fight no more
